Jim,
Try driving it with the ESP OFF with some slicks or something that will keep it from spinning and run it through the gears at WOT. Then you'll know if it will change in auto mode under full load with traction.

They're taking the car over to the body shop on Monday and I'm completely out of time wrapping things up to go on vacation.

Once we get some more fender on the car, I will see what we can test from stock up to maximum in street and drag tires.

propain,

I'll have my wife look for the statue. I'm going to see my father. I haven't seen him in 7 years. Too much business, too much travel. I'm getting all of my kids together from all over the country together there as well. He's 79 and this might well be the last time he sees all of us together or at all. I'm going to stay as long as business commitments will allow. But she will look for it as she does her other work. You may not hear back from me about it for a couple of weeks though.

Thanks Jim. No rush. I had someone bring one back from Tibet once for me and I loved it.

Enjoy the vacation. Put in some good family time. Where ya heading? My grandfather lived until 99. Your dad might be here for a while longer. How many kids do you have?

Off to Florida. I have 3 grown children and one son-in-law. They are all meeting us there.

Dads family lived into their late 80s. But he has smoked since he was 13 and has had 3 skin cancers taken off. I'm not sure he's crazy or has the right outlook. I take after my mom who didn't fare so well.

He lives in Sebring. If he's up to it, I'm going to go over and borrow a car and take some laps with him. There's always someone I know there.

Very nice. 3 kids huh? I have 2 and one more on the way. Ill be down in Tampa on some business in about 2 to 3 weeks. Ill drop you a line and see if you are in town still.

You should hook up with Dad's (Keith) as well while you are down there. Hes a good guy.

Sorry about the skin cancer. I agree about the right outlook. I know a guy who works out like crazy and keeps in great shape running and eating right. He had a massive heart attack at 42. Lucky to be alive. Sorry about your mom. Life sucks sometimes.

Jspamg,

I don't have an ego like you but it still pisses me off when you come off like some know it all as to how exotic your build is. You don't even acknowledge that you are not a pioneer but rather a follower with this platform.

No disrespect and you have a nice build but if you find the car potentially undriveable I would say it is the person behind the wheel and not the car.

Come and play with us in Vegas next week and earn some respect.

Can i get some dragon ball tea leaves??j/k I drank that the whole 12 days when i was in China back in 2005. Started in Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Guilin, Hong Kong/Kowloon and back to the states. Pretty much saw everything that could be seen in China by train, bus, plane, taxi, and foot, (all types of food, so many temples, The Wall, Karoake, massages, open markets, night life) except for Tibet!

I don't (and don't have permits) to import food. I'm not much of a tea drinker but I'll ask my wife if she's seen it at the local market. That would indicate someone is bringing it in.

As if this wasn't off-topic enough yet, if you can't get to China to do a national tour but you CAN get to Walt Disney World and you make it to Epcot, stop in to the Chinese Pavillion and watch their imax tour of China. Its worth the time.

James at ACG ran my car on the local San Diego dyno where the car was tested stock before installing the Weistec. This dyno confirms Weistec results as the car pulled 631.90 HP and 582.52 Torque in 4th gear. What's the accepted conversion factor for driveline loss to guesstimate crank figures?

Maybe James will post the dyno graphs later.

Good job everyone. Now off to the body shop for the wide body conversion.

Thanks for all the hard work Peter. I appreciate you both spending the afternoon on it. Did Steve send you the CAD drawings so we can get the rest of the stuff under the hood going?

Please be sure to send me pics as things arrive and progress starts on the wide body. This is the perfect time for vacation. But I still wish I could check up on the bodywork.

Seriously, as soon as its out of the body shop, people can test drive it and I hope Weistec takes it to the strip with some decent tires on it.

Peter, get the wheels coming

James and Weistec are the ones doing all the work that is getting us all to this point I have some videos of the car but I need to edit them. The videos are only on the dyno. I am scared to make a street video lol

No problem on the wheels. We just need to decide between HRE, DPE or ADV1. I'll e-mail you some ideas.

I like buying local. So try them in that order. But times a wasting. They need to pull the trigger for you or we have to move along.

For those reading this, there is no sponsorship or $$ discounts involved. Its car placement. Best offer wins.

As my cultural hero says, Git 'er done.

The original plan all along was to drive the car in the middle of August so yes. I leave Rome this wed and am heading out to the West Coast to grab the car and head to Vegas for some racing. I fly out again on Sunday so will be looking to get as much driving as possible! Are you going to join us in Vegas?
