I have been tempted to have some tuning done, but could not justify it since I do not track my car and just drive to work with it. I 'd rather spend the money on great camera lenses (Leica) which also have good resale value. I also do not want to have warranty issue, or preventable mishaps.. Just my 2 cents. I have been driving Mercedes for over 16 years and have gone though about 8 cars already.

I have kept mine relatively stock. I just like appreciating the car for how it was made and designed AS IS. I get to feel what was going on in the heads of the engineers and AMG specialists.
The car is plenty awesome just the way I bought it. I can never tear up city or suburban streets really, I head to the track once every 2 months and enjoy its limits until I get super hot temps and call it a day.
I am just a sucker for keeping things cherry and original (to some degree). I love the look of the C63 on a overcast day as it sits in a far parking lot and you are walking up to it.
My only simple mods involve: diffuser, air filters, and custom seat covers (rarely use) and radar.
I will probably get wheels in a year, move up to evosport roters or bembro calipers and maybe tint. I just never get around to this stuff because of work and travel. MB world is my escape from the stress...
I am kinda sorta messing around with the thoughts of an R8 as I am on waiting list for RS5.

Sell the Leica junk, buy a 5DmkII and some L glass then tune the Benz.
Just kidding, I have a Leica in my arsenal as well. I suppose you have to weigh the risks with the mods to your warranty, reliability, and future resale against the enjoyment that you'll get out of it. Are you really driving the car to 100% of it's potential? Would an extra 5-10% really buy you more enjoyment?
Just some things to consider.

I dont consider my tune a mod. I consider it something it should have left the factory with. Drive a C63 with a tune and without. You will never drive a stock C63 again.

My car, regarding performance, is completely stock too. Only mod is the digital-TV and iPhone integration. I don’t feel the need for more power than it already has and the only mods I would do would be cosmetic, such as a carbon fiber spoiler.
I’m also a photo fan. Leicas are incredibly expensive around here (almost 10k dollars for the simlple camera + basic objective lens) so I have an EOS 7D. I’d spend on the Leica and take some good pics of the car.

I was at Evosport a couple of days ago talking about suspension components for my car. They had a whole bunch rotors in stock among other parts. Looks like they have caught up on back orders. Whether they were C63 specific, I don't know. I'd give them a call.

So far basically stock (not finished with the 996TT yet stilll need DV, motor/tranny mounts and 997quick shifter) but i'm tempted to puts some H&R on the C63 to clean up the wheel gaps and have a resonator bypass tube frabricated so I can take it on and off when ever I want. Looks like I have to make one cut to the stock resonator and flare each end for a donut and clamp. Then get fabricate a xpipe to fit.
