Guys,
Off tomorrow for some seat time in SLS GT3 with Rowe Racing, one of the teams that runs the car in ADAC Masters/VLN/GT Series in Europe at Nurburgring. Will be running the GP track, not the Nordschliefe. Not sure if you guys find these posts interesting or not, so let me know if you want me to post pics/vids and will be happy to do so.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave. Of course we find your posts and experiences interesting. I appreciate you taking the time to share what you're up to with your growing track experience.
Maybe you could post your times along side some other cars' times for that specific track so we can have some perspective.
Drive safe and have fun.

There will be only three cars on track tomorrow which is nice. I will be one of two of the Rowe GT3s (pics attached) and the other car will be Lambo Gallardo driven by Johannes and Ferdinand Stuck (pic attached). Yup, their dad was Hans-Joachim Stuck and granddad was the legend Hans Stuck.
I will see if I can get things right with in-car camera and have it record lap times based on GPS. This assumes I set the start/finish properly within track map and sync with GPS. Just one thing to keep in mind...there is fine line between pushing it and playing it safe. With a deductable of...wait for it...of 20K Euro = $30K will need to balance the two. So if it seems I back off at places where you are thinking why isn't he hammering it, well now you will know why.

Thanks,
Dave

Very cool. Makes sense about playing it safe for sure.
Beautiful machines. How does that Lambo sound when the throttle is opened up wide?

personally I like the sound of the SLS GT3 better...sounds like a jet fighter and the tranny is a piece of art!

Here are some pics from this past week. I will post videos later once I get a chance to edit them down for uploading. Was a great day with only two cars on the whole track which for anyone who has been to Nurburgring knows is unheard of. Ran new Dunlop slicks made of soft compound which is been designed for the Nordschliefe and man can those things grip! This car just won the lastest 6hr VLN race and has multiple podiums this year. What is interesting is that each time I get into a different SLS GT3 each has their own feel and characteristics. I know this sounds weird as they are suppose to be spec, but they do. Anyway, off for weekend sessions at Gross Dolln this weekend and will post if you guys want.

Wow! Great pics. Looks like you're living the AMG dream
I still haven't been able to listen to the lambo music (been traveling
) and the links are not opening up on my phone... but, I'll listen when I get home if not sooner.
