Seems high, if you mean 3/4 of the way to the high marker on the gauge. Go in to the actual AMG menu on the dash and it should tell you the oil temp in a digital print out. Should be in low 100s (celcius) when just driving normally.
Not sure about the rough idle but if indeed the oil temp is high and the idle is rough I would be checking the oil level ASAP

If you look at my video http://youtu.be/7PpIpzQF0q8 on the 2:47 mark. it clearly reads 194/195. Around 75º, car is warmed up at this point. I'll keep an eye on mine also.

Just checked oil level and think they overfilled it -going to dealer and have them look at level of oil. Dealer has tire pressure too low - and need my contact list of Iphone downloaded to car.

Common dealer mistake. They overfill it as they know the motor burns oil so they increase time intervals in between you bringing it to get topped off. Typical dumb dealer move.

It is not unusual for these engines to run rough if they are overfilled with oil and it is not good for them either. I believe the crank lobs are running in the oil. I would not do any hi engine speed until the oil level is verified and corrected.
Operating temps look normal enough.
