Matte paint help

Hello Everyone.
Im new here on the forum my first post sorry to be a thread but i really need some help.
I got a new c 63 amg edition 1 which comes with a matte paint.
I cant find information on how to maintain the finish, all i hear is that it is very dificult to do so.
Was wondering if you guys could help me out with some tips like which soap to use , can i put a car cover on it regularly, and what products to use etc..
Thanks for the help in advance.

Bird droppings and insects are your enemies from what I have heard. Need to be attended to immediately, or better still avoided completely.
Sadly I reckon the matt paints are great for show cars and sunny weekend cruises but just too impractical if you need the car as a DD that spends its life out on the roads rain hail or shine.

A couple of fast cars.
Dr. Beasley's is what I am using, no issues. That and touchless car wash, it's actually quite easy to maintain.

Welcome to the C63 family!
These guys have given you the best advice possible so far, nothing to add here.
For really stubborn stains use a little 80 grit sandpaper
Just kidding, don't do that!
Congrats on the new ride and don't apologize for your first post--feel free to post away, that's what this forum is for!

I also use the dr. Beasleys package it's 4 products. No issue with my car either yet, Derek quick question if you see this does your actual wash product from beasleys soap up? Mine hardly bubbles

I am new to MBWorld and this is my first ever post! I am about to order the Edition 1, and keep going back and forth on whether to get matte paint. I have never procrastinated as much. I love the look of the car, however, this will be a potential DD and have some concerns over maintenance. Would love to get some real life experiences and thoughts before I call back my dealership. Many thanks E

Never wax. You also never want to "polish" or rub hard in one area, as it will cause a "shiny" spot that won't match the rest.

If you get Edition 1 I don't think you have a choice other than one of the matte finishes.

I have had my Edition 1 since mid-November as a DD. No issues and use just plain dishwashing soap and still looks as good as the day I bought it. I have no intentions of turning this beast into a show car so don't get too freaked out about a pristine and perfect appearance. As long as you don't get too OC regarding the matte paint you'll love the car.

Good luck.

There may be an association between this matte paint and new onset "anxiety disorder"...might need to publish a paper on this?

Imallin and TheRussian818 are you willing to be my first patient's for the study?

Just being a smart a$$...enjoy the car!

AMG C63 Affalterbach Edition
i have the Affalterbach edition with magno allanite grey

I use SwissVax Opaque shampoo ONLY...yes it is expensive (something like $100 per larger bottle) but it is a great product. I also use Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte detailer for spots (and their Stripper Scent air freshener for the inside of my car ).
