New BMW M6 ... WOW!
M6 takes the same bi-turbo 4.4-litre V8, blown to produce a stout 552bhp
The coupe passes 62mph in just 4.2 seconds and 124mph (200kph) in 12.6 seconds. Top speed is governed to 155mph, although the M Driver's Package will up that to 189mph.
BMW claims the new M6 is a third less thirsty than before, quoting a 28.5mpg combined economy figure. The leggy seven-speed twin-clutch transmission helps there, of course.
Blue brake callipers will be standard-fit on all new M cars, too, and if you spec the optional 19kg lighter carbon brakes there'll be further telltales: those anchors will take on a golden hue.

Too many humps and reflectors and creases in the back...why the hell does BMW always have to make their cars look like the hunchback of notre dame???!!!!
I like how it has a little M6 badge in the front...
Performance wise, a 1M or M3 is pretty close to it for at least 1/2 the price.
Who cares about mpg, this world has gone nuts. I am not saying I don't want better gas mileage but the gear heads like us want more performance, better handling, cool high tech wizardry. The last thing on our mind is 28.5 mpg...
Look wise, I am like izzy. It looks like a stretched M3. The interior is nothing new and very blend.
Very disappointing. Actually, I am happy because I am not lusting for this car so I can keep my hard earned $$ a little longer and keep driving the little C monster.

I also think that mileage is very important and applaud this engine and MB's new 5.5TT for the mpg they can achieve. These cars are daily drivers not track specials and covering 35,000 per year that's a fair chunk of money plus the convenience factor of not having to stop every 250 miles.
However, on the point of mileage and styling I will agree that is all personal preference but I had to say something about the performance comment....

Did you miss the part where transferred already mentioned that 0-60 will be a wash? Out in the real world though, I would guess that, more often than not, the new M5 and M6 will outrun a lot of cars, including our beloved C63 (PP, tuned or not).
SL for me! That MPG is pretty incredible though
Did miss that part....still don't see it

.... you do realize, it offers incredible performance by wasting less energy. I take that "high tech wizardry" all day long ...In regards to performance, a C63, whether tuned or not, can't hang with an M6. It couldn't hang with the old V10 on top. I'm talking real world, not some staged "mile" run
. This M6 will have torque way below the N/A V10, which means it will walk the little C monster much sooner. I like the way it looks, but I can understand if it's not everyones taste. That orange doesn't suit a big coupe like the M6 ... but with a different color, a drop and some wheels it will look great.
