Worst Day With The C63
Hi! I experienced a day from hell today! My brand new not even 3 months old C63 AMG 2012 would not start. The car only has 6800km and this had to happen at the car wash, with all the M3's and Ferrari's driving in. There was nothing at all the key did not work! The radio and lights worked! I called road side assistance, and they messed with it for an hour and couldn't help at all! They then called the tow truck who scraped my whole rear rim while loading it on the truck! I was at the car wash for 4 hours today! Now I'm waiting to hear what they say on Monday! Wish me luck! Shouldn't be experiencing this On a brand new car! And it wasnt small money!

It's a very common problem.
I'm hoping it is the case, so you will be bruising the roads soon.

Same thing happened to me, car died at a stop light; lights, radio, command all worked. car would not turn over. had the car towed (road side assistance was very responsive, towed within the hour on a Sunday afternoon). car started first time at dealership, they checked it out and never did find out what happened. the car was 3 yrs old at that point, has not happened again in the last 2.5 months.

They gave me a call this morning the steering lock is broken they said! Ordering part from Germany no estamation time. They did however give me a C180 (power!!!!) but after an argument they wanted me to wait 48 hours first.

Sorry to hear about your problem... it really takes away the excitement of owning a new car. In my case, I got a CEL the first day I picked up my car, luckily it was a simple fix (bad 02 sensor).. but still not a good feelings when your brand new engine is going in limp mode at only 40km on the odometer.

Go for the Netstar Slueth, basic system. The early warning one is the one that gives hassles.

could the problem get worse? no.. actually yes they finally got the part and it was a the wrong one!! waited an extra day on the 4th day now.. and get a call saying its actually the ignition that doesnt work! 
so now they have ordered the ignition from germany which will take 3 weeks!!! i am beyond Furious with this piece of rubbish! i dont even want this car anymore! should have just waited for an M5

Because if you do, they need to program it with a special DRT key which has to be ordered from Germany as well.

This really sucks. I know all cars have problems, but it seems like quite a few people are experiencing "long" down times with repairs. Oh well, OP let us know what happened. You do have a loaner right?
