I want her to scream louder
Hello!
So I went to the shop to have my car serviced today and I told him that I want to have the sec cats deleted. He told me it's not a good idea and that I should do a res delete since it's reversible and cheap ($250)
What do you guys recommend? I want something easy reversible because I don't want to worry about mods when I'm gonna get rid of her.
Thanks!
PS: I know it's a C63 forum.

Do the res delete! I just did it and the sound is wicked! I would do straight pipes over x pipe if you want a really rough bark... just what I like though!

AMG & RR
Res delete can be done for $150 at a dealer, $50-60 at a third party shop. I honestly think the exhaust sounds great the way it is but to each their own.

This is whats inside your resonator.
Looks like straight pipe with a 1/2 in pipe going across making it a H pipe kinda.
If u do a 2nd cat delete u will gain couple ponies and make it louder.

Replacing the resonators with a x pipe will give you some scavaging effect and maybe a few HP. The sound does change, not much louder but different. Replacing the secondary cats with an X pipe will yield both more HP and sound. As these cats are downstream of the second O2 sensor it will not throw codes. Manufacturers are using secondary cats because of the long warranty they have to give on the emissions system. A relatively new car should pass smog without secondary cats. Returning to stock as only one cut is needed and you can reinstall the stock secondary cats with a slip joint at a later date.

I left. I guess I don't have the ***** to do it... because if I don't like it, it's gonna be a nightmare that I'm not ready to live with.
I think I'm going plug my speakers to the exhaust tips. It's gonna sound awesome.

Remove post cat and replace with x pipe. Remove resonator and replace with straight pipe. All good.
On a separate note would the above be good for my C63 Black Series??
I really like the CBS from the factory sound wise but....
