WTF.. got used ROW air boxes from ACGSD
I was in the market to buy ROW airboxes, I got a price from ACGSD of $600 with MAF and $350 W/out MAf. I have dry air filters and ordered them without the MAF. I just got home from a work trip and opened the box to find a dirty used set of ROW airboxes. Besides them being dirty, there are marks one every screw surface where they have obviously been mounted before.
Im kinda pissed about this, Im sure they will function the same but I could have bought used ones with MAF's for around the same price. I wanted new not used thats why I ordered from them and didnt buy them second hand from a forum member.
I will be calling them about this and will post the outcome

would it be possible that is for fitment test? so it would get the dirt and marks on? if is too obvious being used for a period of time, you may call them and see whats going on

That is utterly disgraceful from a vendor to pull off some nonsense like that. Hope they refund a reasonable difference to you for compensation and at the very least apologize to you.

My hands got dirty from holding them after I removing the foam wrap they were in and why would you need to test fit an OEM part? They were obviously used, I took pictures, I will post the later

If I was told that I was buying used air boxes I would be happy with these, but I wasnt and therefore im not happy with them, You can see the dirt on the boxes in the pixtures and you can also tell they have been mounted before becase the plastic is disturbed at every screw hole.

my wife bananas! :D
totally understand your frustrations as most of us would be pissed off if it happened to us as well.
agree with rory here, give them a ring and ask them whats up... if its a mix up, they would send you a new one and pay for return shipping on the one you have.

Not trying to start an uproar, I was just shocked when I opened the box, I will give them a call when they open and give them a chance to make the situation right between us, although I cant possibly see how this could have been a mix up.

I called them yesterday and everything was resolved. They apoligized for the mix up and said they wouldn't try to pass off used as a new and I truely believed them. They said they would work with me to make this right and gave me three options that I could choose from. They were all very fair but I chose the one that was the easiest for me and it made me content with the purchase.
Even though there was some confusion with my first order from ACGSD I would still recommend them and order from them in the future. Their customer service is excellent and I feel confident saying that the mix up I encountered was just an honest mistake.
For anyone thinking about doing business with ACGSD please do not let this thread affect your decision to do so.

I would've given them the chance to clear it up before airing it here. I am a customer of ACGSD and James is good to his word. Glad it was resolved.

Glad to hear it was resolved without problem. I have used ACG several times since purchasing my C63 almost two years ago. They have always been more than fair with me. I highly recommend them.

Looking back that is what I should have done, I feel that it was an honest mistake that they made. All I can do now is commend them on their customer service and I want hesitate to buy from them again.

This is a useless thread IMO.
It only creates confusion about a reputable company as AGCSD.
It was obvious they would take care of You if You only called them because their success is based on customer satisfaction.
You should post such a thread only if they did not try or were not willing to resolve this issue.
