How to remove center piece lip from 2012 bumper?

Hey guys, i want to remove my front lip on my 2012 c63 to get carbon fibered. Does anyone know how to remove it?

anyone know how to remove the front lip on a 2012 c63? i bought a carbon fiber one

there is also clips behind the lower front grill though...I think I have to remove the bumper? unless there is a way to remove the lower grill without taking off the bumper

I had a body shop install my new lip and they had to remove the remove the bumper.

trying to avoid that haha...i wonder if i could jack the car up and just remove the skid plate? probably be like removing the lower grill

This is what you are looking at removing on the inside (red arrows) to get the front lip out. There are some kind of push pins like in the wheels well.
Even with the skid plate removed and the car on jack stands I'm not sure there will be enough space for you to work between the radiator/oil cooler etc...

I installed my lip without removing the bumper...

Just need to get under the car and pop those clips from up and behind the grill....

It's a tight squeeze but it can be 100% done.

Took me 30 mins.

Putting the 2 inside closer to the center clips back in after the install is a pain though.

i think there are more than 4 bolts. Probably 8 of them.

I didn't remove anything to remove the front lip cover.

didnt realize we can get access from under the car...thought it was complete sealed off? I'll have to take a look
