What is correct way to take out the hood emblem?

You bought the wrong one. The two pin ones are commonly found on ML, GL, R and other vehicles where only the flat badge is available within the model range. The C has both the upright star and flat badges depending on model, therefore the hood is designed differently. The flat badge on the C clips into place and there's a large hollow opening if you remove the badge.

The reason that I bought this one is because the ebay seller claims that it has the correct size 57mm and I wanted the same size, maybe I did not read the offering right, anyhow, where can I get one with the right size same as stock and good quality?

I ordered another hood emblem from JB Speed and its not a spring loaded clip like the original benz star !! Its just a flat badge with 5 holes in it and they supplied 2 screws and 2 washers. WTF?!?! 2nd time its the wrong one
