Advice on 507 would be appreciated
Here's my dilemma. I am coming out of a lease in September and need to find a replacement vehicle. I want my new car ordered by June 15th. Several months ago I decided on a 2014 C63 coupe with PP (along with LSD and other options). Of course my planning went sideways with Mercedes replacing the PP with the Edition 507. Now to my question. How much is the Edition 507 worth to you? (in dollars). I will have to make a decision in June without the benefit of driving the 507, so I am unsure of how to proceed. At $5,000 more the 507 is a go. At $10,000 more I would pass. Between $5-10,000 I am undecided. When I last drove a non PP 2010 sedan I did not feel it was under powered. I don't want or need more HP just to say I have it. I want it if it will make a difference in my enjoyment as my daily driver. Also, I will not be making performance enhancements to this car since it is a lease vehicle. Your insight would be appreciated. Lastly, I currently drive a e92 M3 with DCT and feel the power is fine, but it could use more torque.

Have you driven a non-PP car before? If you drive an M3, the "regular" C63 will seem extremely torquey to you. I say get a regular one and later if you want, throw a tune in it and then reflash to stock when you return it at the end of the lease. The only thing in the 507 that I really want is the shift knob...

You can spend that 5-10k on aftermarket upgrades.

The 507 will drive exactly the same as the C63 w/PP. Other than the rated hp, the changes are cosmetic.
In terms of pricing, although it's not announced, I'm still guessing it'll be cheaper than last year's C63 w/PP. Historically speaking, these model end packages are usually bundled with a couple thousand dollar discount.

If you lease the car and do not intend to make mods, then I would save the $$ and just get the regular car non PP. Throw a tune with a handheld to get the extra power and return it to stock whenever you wish.
If you don't feel comfortable with aftermarket tune, then go with your original thought with a PP car.

In the last PL, we were told that US pricing should be released in a couple weeks. Since that was about two weeks ago, I'm expecting something reeeeealy soon.

If I could do it over again, I'd would have just gotten a pretty basic non-P31 c63, and used all the money for a tune+upgrades instead. Looking back, I feel like I sort of wasted money getting a fully optioned p31.
That said... I BADLY want that 507 hood!

I have a 2011 C63 no PP and my dealer is taking orders for the final C63 which will be the 507 model and has told me price-wise it will be very similar to a PP car if not cheaper as it is a one size fits all car. You won't regret it! I can't wait to get my hands on this final big block AMG.
