Picked up a C63
Hello MBWorld. Picked up a Polar White 2011 C63 last week. Took a flight to New Hampshire with a friend, and drove 6 hours back to Jersey. Was the best deal i saw anywhere, for what i required (under 20k miles, white, black leather, cf or brushed aluminum trim, multimedia package, 4 doors). Anyhow, ended up paying $50,495 for this vehicle with only 9k miles from a ford dealership actually, so i feel like i got a great deal. Came out of a full bolt on 335i which i sold a few months ago. Really enjoying this car, and figured i better go ahead and get onto the forum/forums now.

Congrats on the new ride. I am sure you will not miss your BMW at all after driving this car for a bit. This is my favorite car I have owned to date, and I have had many kids. I look at is as a muscle, sports and luxury car all wrapped up into one great package. Now if they just made them with a manual it would be the perfect car!

thank you to the above. im in south jersey, about an hour from the shore. I agree that the car encompasses everything, luxury, performance etc. i used to be die hard on just manual, but anymore i dont really care, and i think my opinion has changed now. Im actually kind of enjoying just driving and not shifting, sometimes using the paddles. Hell, i know i can drive a manual well, and still have my manual gti, but im actually starting to not prefer manual i find. Im sure the newer DCT trans is even nicer too. abcut- yes, im sure ill start with a tune in the near future. cosmetically, im going keep it stock i think however.

At the very least change the sidemarkers from that orange!

Congrats on the car and also the great deal. I too was a stick shifter, but this transmission is great and now I can concentrate on other things besides shifting. I've had mine for five months and swore I'd leave it stock. Well, new 19" black-center wheels, subwoofer, clear side markers, and tinted glass is just the start.
Good luck with yours. It's a beauty.

the power is very similar between a full bolt on n54 WITH fueling modifications and a stock c63.. so similar, its hard to say which car i feel pulls harder. none the less, a tune alone for the c3 should make that an easier decision. the c3 however feels more effortless, and like their is infinite top end. my 335 was great, but i will share my one matter of hatred with e92 bmw's including the m3... the positioning of the gearbox is absolutely terrible. its as if their was no committed effort in the layout within the car. basically it is uncomfortable to shift. in a manual car your arm should be able to just hang freely and elbow not be lying against anything. in the e92's, this is not the case. shifting has to be done with the wrist literally bend down at a 90 degree angle and just feels stupid. the center console does not allow free movement of your arm and totally interferes with the comfort of shifting.. i really could not stand that. i am loving the sound, steering response, comfort, and especially the braking power of the c63.
