Another weird thing today...
Maybe an hour after my CEL came back this afternoon, I was making a right turn. The throttle surged and then felt like it went limp. The car wouldn't go...like it was capped at 500 rpm. My alert triangle lit up on my dash and the center dial showed the ESP icon and said the operation was currently unavailable. I pull over and restart the car...gone. WTF? I immediately called my SA and he said it sounds unrelated, but bizarre.

I've been keeping up with your thread of P0171 and I myself have had the light for about a week.
The weird thing with my situation is it disappeared out of no where

Weird. I was told that a small leak would go unnoticed since the sensors compensate. Only when it's really bad does it trigger a CEL or run rough, like in my case. Perhaps the fuel mixture compensated?

I know this sounds crazy, and I have just been through annoying CEL's and strange messages popping up that ultimately led me to sell my car last week as i'd had enough, but the issue in the end was the battery. The terminal was corroding and it wasn't giving all the cars' systems enough power, also making the alternator run overtime.
I had messages from 'SRS system malfunction' (no issues, only saw it once), 'active headlight inoperative' (could clearly see is was working fine)
To its credit the battery was 7 yrs old
Maybe not related to you, but its one thing have checked

I ran into a similar issue a couple weeks ago. I was driving on the highway and the car basically shut down. I looked at my dash and saw ESC Currently Unavailable See Operator's Manual.
I was barely able to pull off to the side of the road. I almost got hit by a semi and a pickup and I gotta tell ya it was scary looking in my rear view mirror. If I had known what was happening and how quickly the car was going to stop moving I would have pulled on the shoulder.
Anyway, I took it to the dealer to get it checked out and they said I hit the torque limit. I had them run every test they could and they said the only issues with the car are the o2 codes because the cats are removed. I haven't been able to replicate it either.

I've had this happen to me on several occasions, and each time it went away after a restart. My local dealer's SA said it was due to a leak from the manifold gasket. I don't believe him for a second. Bur my car still has a year warranty so I'll argue it when it gets closer to the end.
Anyways, I think it's an electrical problem. Not sure what but each time that it has happened to me, it was precluded with some spirited driving and stopping on an incline. I feel like there is some sensor that is loose. But I have no idea.

On a side note...we might become twins, Phenom. In the process of getting drop, Vorst lip and diffuser, have oem cf mirrors, and cf side vents. Except wheels and exhaust.
p.s. poop just got real.
