So I have 12mm spacers all around now with extended bolts. Can I use those with the 5mm spacers?
On the front, probably. On the rear, you will destroy the parking brake mechanism if the bolts are too long by as little as 3mm. Mount the wheels on the car, hand-tighten the bolts and slowly spin the wheels. If you hear anything rubbing or hitting, the bolts are too long. If the wheels spin freely, tighten them and spin them by hand again. Properly torque them down to 130 Nm (96 ft lb) once the car is sitting on the ground. RECHECK ALL BOLTS with a torque wrench again after you've driven a couple hundred miles.

If you're also changing wheels, make sure that the new wheels have the same bolt seat type as the old ones - OEM Mercedes wheels use an R14 spherical (ball) seat, OEM Audi/VW wheels use R13 spherical (ball) seats, and most - but not all - aftermarket wheels usually use 60-degree conical (tapered) seats.

looks like your setup will be easy to do. 15mm front 12mm rear, 43mm bolt and 40mm bolt, no need for shaving.

The math is all correct, although that's a pretty aggressive setup. Should be OK if you're at stock height though - it might rub occasionally under hard braking or if you're loaded and drive over a bump. Do let us know how it turns out - I would really like to see side pictures of both of your cars.

mipis, is this for a C63 or the C250? and my next question is does this make a difference in regards to diabolis and khmrgod's suggestions?

Good catch, maximus - if it's not a C63 then it's a completely different story, at least at the front as the fenders on the regular C are much narrower.

I got the idea of going 15mm front because of Olzawa. He modded his car like crazy and is pretty good about it. He told me I would be fine. Front wheel arches are wider, so we can fit wider spacers. Can't wait!

The V-Rod was (is) a gorgeous bike (had the silver w/ solid wheels), but I found it quite uncomfortable actually - I am 6'1" and was effectively bent in a "C" shape the whole time (couldn't even lean into it they way you do on a superbike), which got quite uncomfortable pretty fast. Plus, I had collected a number of other "weekend toys", and as these were more relaxed and had air conditioning, they got the best of me.

You wouldn't by any chance happen to be in Ontario, Canada or within a reasonable driving/riding distance but still on the north side of the border? Don't have room for another car at the moment, but I could squeeze in a motorcycle in the garage, and I have been somewhat entertaining the idea lately...

getting the summer itch, i see? lol. i actually live in LA, but i do have family in toronto. next time my cousin comes to visit, i could have him ride the bike back for you. (kidding). and i never thought about vrods and being hunched over, but i can see that that would not be comfortable after a little while...

My 15mm and 10mm spacers from staff@world (thanks for the quick shipping) have arrived. However, the seller from ebay I bought HR bolts from only sent me my 40mm bolts for rears and forgot to send the 43mm in the box. I have to wait another week! First world problems. /real
