Clear/Smoked Front Reflectors?

Searched and searched. Evosport may have had them once but they may be out of the game, the eBay ones all look to be through MY 2010/2011 and painting them seems a little lame.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The 2013 C63 uses the same corner markers as the pre-facelift cars (-2011) because of the wider front fenders. The "regular" C-class (non-C63) cars are indeed different.

Got mine from eBay seller fishcake321 - they're the DEPO clears (http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-2008-11-Mercedes-W204-C-Class-Clear-Bumper-Side-Marker-Light-Chrome-Bulb/121128965139?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D9216050764621271867%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D171071872142%26). Fits the car just like OEM with no issues whatsoever (had the dealer put them in for me).

Would stay away from LEDs for the corners as they may trigger a bulb failure warning (even if they say they won't) or may cause the LED bulb resistor/housing to burn over time (had this issue with CAN-bus compliant LEDs on my Audi).

not sure if you know, but you can go in through the hood rather than the wheel well. but you have to feel it out.. first one took me like 20m to get it lined up right but the second took me <2m

Anytime! Btw, he also has some smoked ones, but seeing as everything else on the car is clear, these are the ones I went with. Service guy even commented that they were good and fit really well. They glow amber but look clear when off with the mirrored bulbs.

Thanks man, i was literally just out in the garage scoping it out through both the hood and the wheel well, then back inside looking for a DIY.

I will post up some pics when I get this done.

I was just on eBay looking at the clear ones from your link and then the smoked ones popped up. I think clear may work best with the other lenses being clear, but I had smoked side markers on my Audi S4 Avant and I liked how it kind of blended in with the black.

Hmmmmm......

Timothy - yes, you can, but apparently some cars actually have the screw securing the housing to the lens in addition to the plastic tabs (and others don't), and if your car happens to have the screw in place, you can't squeeze in a screwdriver to take it out.

I had the front wheels off for a tire changeover and it literally took him about 2 minutes per side - I think he took off the quick-disconnects that hold the mud guard in place and just peeled it back. Lamps were fully exposed. I read posts of people doing it this way without taking off the wheels (just turn to either extreme).

Thanks for the tips. Just did this with the eBay clears going through the hood (had tabs, no screws and no wheel well nonsense). Looks 100% better than the orange reflectors and the bulbs are amber, but coated silver so they look clean.

As much as would like to change them out, seller doesn't list them for a 2013. Think I'm waiting to see them applicable for my 2013. Just sayin.

I have a 2013 c63 sedan that I have had for 1 month. Just installed the clear reflectors yesterday and they fit perfectly on both sides.

You won't see them listed for a 2013 because the non-C63 facelift models (2012+) use different lights. The C63 with the wider front fenders retained the old type lights and they fit 100%.

I posted link to photobucket pics of black transparent wrap on markers, headlamps and mirrors on my 2009. Something to consider for the markers on your car until the product you want is available for 2013 model.

Does the same seller sell the smoked ones? I have a 2012 in magnetite black and I def think the smoked option would look better on darker cars. The only smoked ones I see come with the LED bulbs. Could def cause some error messages...does anyone know where to pick up smoked markers?

I have the depo smoked sidemarkers with aznoptics amber 194 leds. Much cleaner looking than the oem orange reflectors. I got them from Express body parts on ebay.
