Stock 507 Tires
What kind of tires came on others 507? I got mine 60 miles up the road and my home dealer said the other 507 (also a coupe) in town came with Bridgestones. (He was surprised as he was going to order me replacements, which i told him not to as I'm partial to Michelin PSS) Mine has Continental conti-sport-contact 5P MO (Mercedes) labeled. 235/35 in front and 255/30 rear 19". Jordanaf I understand u got Yokohama? Wouldn't think there would be so many different tires. Are the others "MO" Mercedes labeled?

For what it is worth, tirerack.com is showing Continental ContiSportContact 5P and Yokohama ADVAN Sport as the O.E tire choices. Link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...&filterType=oe
Very interesting about the Bridgestones being on 2 Coupes!

507 SEDAN
Yep, I did get the Yoko's. Same size front/rear as everyone else. I was a little surprised, but I like them. They are an MO tire. I had 2 other C63's and a C300 and C350. All 4 of those had Conti 5's MO. I just thought the Yoko's were on there special for the 507, as the tread pattern is pretty nice. I really don't care because I will be getting PSS when time allows. Although, I do like the Yoko's and do not mind.
I do agree with you rediesel, wouldn't think MB would use 3 different tires across the board. I am kind of puzzled.

I've had the Yokos and now the Conti 5P. After 1200km I find it a much better tire, perhaps a little noisier but my goodness the stick and feel is tremendous. They are both good and, really, in 6000km it won't matter much!

AFAIK the Yokos and the Contis are the only MB OEM tires that the C63 comes with (except for the BS, which comes with R-comp Dunlops). Both of them are OE MB which is what the MO on the tire indicates. It's all about the load rating of the tire (both of them say XL, but I don't recall seeing any specific 9xY load ratings on either).

Anyone replace their tires yet...and with what? Are the black rims 9.5" in the back and 9" in the front? I want to get a bigger size, especially the rear, just don't want them to rub.
My Conti 5Ps are excellent, but their are already more than half cooked after 3000kms. I like them but geez, can they last a bit longer, even my fronts?

Dino, 275/30/19 should not rub on your 19x9 507 wheels, but the sidewalls will be meaty.
I think gthal did it on his multispokes. Let me see if I can find his post.

I found this... but it looks like he is running 265/30/19, so I stand corrected.

Jordan has 275/30 on the rear
OEM in the front: 235/35
And yes for the rear, I did go with 275/30.
The fitment works perfectly and the ride is virtually the same. Now grip, I tend to feel a little more stable on lateral moves, but still can spin on take-off. But once they are up to temp, they feel great. I ran 275's on my other 2, so I was very familiar and confident about going with the slightly larger size. Eventually, wide-body and 305's or 315's.
But if any one is heisting on putting the 275/30/19 on the 507 wheels, considering the slightly lowered stance from the factory, don't. They work great.

I only have 2800 miles on mine, and with 6-8" of fresh snow I'm not burning thru my tires anytime soon. However; I am debating the 265 vs 275 width myself, and leaning toward the 275.

Not sure I understand - a 275 tire fits "better" on a 9.5" wide rim than on a 9" rim. The 9" is really on the narrow side for a 275 as you're going to be getting too much sidewall flex under hard cornering.

My wife's R350, when I had to purchase winter tires, the 245 Micheline tire absolutely wouldn't fit, but the 245 from Blizzak did...

Soooo....507 guys and gals. I am debating the 265 vs 275 option in the rear as well. Any objections against the 275s in hard cornering on the stock 507 wheels? I will be going with the Michelin PSSs. I am thinking 265 to be safe because I do hard cornering for shizzle!! Anyone?

Really not going to make much difference in performance (might even make it worse). A 275 is taller, lowering your rear end ratio. They weigh more increasing both rotational and un-sprung mass. Assuming you get 10mm more of tread width (which you may or may not as the width number is the section width not the tread width) it's not going to make that much of a difference in handling or hooking up. Admittedly the 265 are too narrow for the drive train, but unless you punch out the rear wells and shove some 315 under there, hook up is always going to be a problem. You'll get more result in handling by upgrading to more robust coil overs. Did all the 507 come with LSD? If not, put a Quafe in. It like doubling your tread width.
