Illuminated Mercedes Star / Emblem - How many came stock?

Looking forward to it. Haven't seen one on a face-lifted C63 yet.

I found it odd that I have it and almost every new C Class I see on the road doesn't have one... so I thought it was something more exclusive to the newer C63 AMG's only. So I posted this question, thinking most would pour in and say "yeah, I have it so what".
But it looks like its even more exclusive than I thought. How I have it, I have no idea?? But I'm glad I do.
I'll post a pic tonight. It looks pretty hot.

If they installed it, I must of got a "free bee"... although thats hard to imagine as nothing in life is for free.
What I mean is its not accounted for anywhere. Its not listed in the retail price on the window sticker. The only metion of anything special regarding lighting is the "lighting package" that everyone gets.

As for making one of these, should not be too hard or expensive at all. Find someone with a 3d printer (many maker groups http://archive.makezine.com/groups/ ) will have them. Print a MB star with sufficient space for EL wire light strips (I prefer EL to oled, won't be as bright, and no dull spots between leds). Wire up to an arduino or something similar, hook to battery or splice into the front or fog lights (depending on if you want it switchable)..
And viola, glowing MB star.
The rear would be more difficult, as there is very little space, however you could use an opaque plastic material, and place EL wire into it, it would glow, the entire logo, not from behind like the front does.

And though this is not my car, this is more accurate in how it actually looks in real life at night. It's a very precise detailed outline of the emblem...
i just texted William Vetter AMG Product Manager and Black Series Development for MBUSA to confirm this.
