Is the thread title really that hard to understand?

was told very conflicting answers by various MB techs both from professional never met and personal friends that are techs. Some say my engine # are so far off that the likely-hood is slim.

BLKROKT is right, all 2010s are affected... I've gotten some pretty inaccurate info about it from MB techs weirdly. Seems to be some kind of brain washing thing going on But seriously, it's definitely worth having the bolts replaced with the updated ones

2011 C63 AMG
Hello,
As many of you know, I have been providing Datacard info to many members interested in their build sheet, or to verify engine serial number.
I received a PM from a member today who indicates he has a "late 2010 C63". The Datacard for the VIN he provided shows a delivery date of 11/24/2010. The Datacard indicates the engine number is over 4,000 engines beyond serial number 156983 60 060658 where the new head bolts were employed.
Since we've believed that all 2010 and older, and some 2011s were in the affected range, I'm confused about how this one could be outside the range. I did a search to find out which digit in the VIN corresponds to the model year, but had no luck getting a clear answer.
Anyone have any thoughts on all of this?
Thanks,
Joe

Thank you sir,
I was also looking at this but it is an 09’. I assume there’s no way around headbolts on this engine but just want to double check

Data card
Hi im not sure if you still do this but i recently purchased a 2009 model with 36,000km on it. MB were unable to provide much data on it apart from helping to sort of verify the mileage.
If so my vin is WDD2040772F364732.
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Edit - Sorry i just read your most recent posts about the year so i gather it is affected. thats a bloody shame as its gonna cost a few k to repair.
