Wheel/tire combo to fit 255/275s...
Searching around it seems like the popular wheel setup is 19x8.5 ET40 with a 245mm and 19x10 ET52 with a 275mm tire. While that should help solve the rear traction issues it could throw off the balance of the car. If possible I would like to go up 20mm of tire front and rear to theoretically keep the same chassis balance.
Today I fit the stock rear 19x9" ET54 w/ 255 on the front of the car to check clearance all around. Looked great, like it should have been from the factory. There is slight tire bead contact with the strut, but the actual wheel clears. Turning the wheel to full lock either way with compression shows there is clearance for the 255. There also looks to be ample room to lower the offset. I am thinking a 255 on a 19x9" ET50 (could space out if needed) should work great. Seems others have run a 19x9", but I've love to hear of more.
One question I have not been able to answer just yet is how the 19x10" ET52 fits with a larger 275. From what I have read it will rub a bit over large bumps when lowered. That begs the question of how much inboard room there is with the ET52? Is there room to run a 19x10" ET54 or ET55? I can take some rough measurements with the stock 19x9" ET54, but it's a little more of a guess. Anyone in Austin running a 19x10" ET52ish I could take a peek at?
Cheers,
Rob
You can check my fitment. I have already burned through my OEM tires(255) and am on 275's. This is my 3rd C63 and have run 275's in the rear on all 3. I have never had any rubbing issues, including when I lowered one with H&R springs(the blue ones). My 507 is still on stock suspension and ride height. I do not plan to lower it either. Anytime we can manage, feel free to come take a look, measure, or drive it.
19x8” ET45 235/35-19 Diam = 25.5"
19x9” ET54 255/30-19 Diam = 25.0"
What I want:
19x9 ET50 - 255/30-19 Diam = 25.0"
19x10 ET54 - 275/30-19 Diam = 25.5"
). For tires I put on 255/30-19" and 275/30-19". They fit very well. No fitment issue up front at all. Infact, I think I could get a 265mm in without rubbing. The bad news is that swapping the rolling diameters and inch front to rear does activate the traction control very quickly and the ABS is a bit wonky stopping hard. That being said I ordered 245/35-19s for the front to take care of the traction control and ABS woes. Luckily the stock tires needed to be replaced so it was not a waste moving the 255s to the rear of the stock wheels.

Don't worry, suspension is going in. I have a set of KW Clubsports that will go in when I have time.
Cheers,
Rob

That being said, I doubt ur front are 19x9 +50? Must be a typo? Did u mean +40? Look at the stamp behind the wheels.
Even ur rear tires, 19x9.5 +54 would not be this concave. I might be wrong, and the wheel design might throw me off, but confirm the offset just out of curiosity.
