did the mod. (removed 2nd cat, and put pipes) sounds awesome. 0 drone, can't even tell i have it when cruising.
used aluminum pipes, dude told me he would coat them real nice for me since he doesn't have stainless steel like i wanted. hopefully the aluminum holds up for a year or two.

i should also mention i got mine done, at the same place as glove, this past weekend. zero drone while cruising, sounds vicious over 2k rpm, and it was only $80.

Ya, I spent like $500 for Mike's Power Pipe which was solid. And then the X pipes out there for the Benz are about the same price...Then another $100 or so for installation puts you at $600. Hard to argue the value of $80...Quality isnt as good but it's just engine exhaust coming out. If it leaks, get another right?
Rear muffler deleted and dual straight-pipe fitted before I went to a quad-system. This is made out of 3"-Stainless Steel, but is now in excess of my requirements and for sale in South Africa at R750.00 + transport cost. Ben, Nelspruit, 0827358621
All it takes is one cut and one weld to fit your C320 or C32.
I took my car to two different exhaust shops at the end of this last week. I got estimates to cut the secondary cats out and replace with stainless steel straight piping. BOTH ESTIMATES WERE AROUND $600.
I thought for sure that it would be closer to $200 (because thats what people around here were saying and that seems reasonable).
Now I have to go a different route to remove my secondary cats because I am not paying $600 to an exhaust shop when there are proven parts out there made by MB enthusiasts that do the same thing for the same amount of $ or less.

this job should be no more than 250.
I ran out to the JEGS store and bought my own stainless steel piping today so that a shop won't even have to worry about materials. I'm determined to find a place to do this for $200-$250.
If anyone here is from the Columbus/Central Ohio area and knows of a place that will do this for a reasonable price, let me know.

If you look a stainless X pipe can be purchased for much less than $500. There are something's were have to pay Benz tax on and other stuff we do not have to. This is one we don't have to as there are lots of other sports cars that use the same size tubing and people want to use stainless steel as the metal. Personally I think some of you guys are insane for spending $600 for an Xpipe! 😳

Mine was $80.00, go on yelp and look for a better shop. This is BS, look for a shop use to working on hotrods or performance cars. Keep looking I'm telling you, find a local hotrod club, mustang or corvette club and ask them who does their exhaust welding.

So I had a shop quote this job for $330 today. And that is with me providing the stainless steel pipe. I am going to keep looking for another couple days, but damn this is getting frustrating hearing about all the guys that paid so much less.
So I got my resonator deleted and replaced with straight pipe near the back. That's what I thought we had talked about here and it turns it outo it was actually the secondary cat delete and I ended up getting the wrong thing removed. Lol
To be honest though I do like the sound of it still though so not sure what I should do now and if I screwed up or what...I guess I can get it put back and remove the secondary cat as talked about....advice?
I hope I didn't lose power going this route...if that's the case then I am gonna have the resonator put back in....fml
