Finding a shop depends on which state you live in. If you live in a strict emissions state like California, I would rethink about cutting out your sec cats.

Is there any downside to replacing secondary cats AND resonators with straight pipes? A lot of the posts I see recommend putting in an hpipe for secondary if the resonator is gonna be deleted too.
The resonator contains a small H pipe, so replacing it with straight pipe changes the tone significantly. To my ear it made it sound more like a truck - not what I was looking for at all. Adding the H made it at little quieter than straight pipe there, but not by much, and greatly improved the sound.

I made quite a detailed post regarding this in another exhaust thread. I'll quickly summarize it here.
If you straight pipe both the secondary cats and resonators it will indeed change the tone. Makes it sound like a truck imo.
The stock resonator has a H crossover built in. If you want to remove the stock resonator you will need to install a H pipe in place elsewhere. The rule of thumb is to place the H pipe furthest up stream possible. Of course you don't need to worry about any of this if you just want to delete the secondary cats.
-Remove secondary cats = more volume with same tone
-Remove secondary cats and stock resonator = Requires H pipe to minimize tone change.
If you have good quality headphones you can listen to countless YouTube videos to hear for yourself.

Agreed. No smell, no CEL, no issues with inspection.
just wanted to mention I just had Mikes power pipes installed on my otherwise stock 2013 c63. Dynoed before and after. Gain was 12 hp and 5 torque

In California you won't pass smog if you take out the secondary cats though
thinking of doing the sec cat delete into straight pipes with v bands and swap for the smog check every two years...
This isn't consistent with what I've read in doing some research on these. The 2nd cats have no sensors etc. Why wouldn't the Power Pipe pass SMOG? Are you saying like it wouldn't on a "visual" exam or?

Yes absolutely. But can we agree there's a distinction between "passing" SMOG vs. the legality of "touching" SMOG equipment. I'm more getting at whether power pipes can "pass" SMOG despite their apparent illegality.

As long as there's no visual, and as long as your monitors are showing "ready", then yes it should pass just the sniffer.
Not too loud? Is there more video? I deleted my secondary cats and I think what to do with the resonator - Straight pipes, X-pipe or do nothing (my exhaust with stock headers).
Been thinking about a muffler-ectomy myself. I've got a OE manifolds, power-pipe, resonator. I've heard a few sound clips of similar without mufflers and seems to be livable. My goal is weight loss and a touch more sound. So...if I simply make cuts as show below and pop off the mufflers, can anyone see a reason to finish off the pipes more elaborately than just leaving them as-is? Aside from aesthetics at the rear, any reason to spend the money to add new sections of pipe to carry the exhaust back out to diffuser location?

As someone who just did that, I would encourage you to finish the pipes. First, exhaust dumps right under the car, collects, then comes into the passenger cabin. Not ideal. Second, my car shoots fire out the pipes, moreso without mufflers. Do you really think fire is good to have dumping out right there, next to the fuel tank?
And it is LOUD. Like stupid loud. Sounds like a diesel truck or Harley at idle. And the second you come off idle, fuggetaboutit. Especially in CA with the new exhaust noise law, I wouldn’t do it.
