OP, I don't think anybody is arguing that the C63 is faster then the Z06. What I think some people are trying to say is that you're personifying the 3 drivers with personalities while sitting in your car as the third party.

As dumb as street racing is, (I would never do it ), people enjoy seeing how their cars compare to others on the road. Its not always a pissing match/ who has the bigger dick contest. I for one have never driven one and would love to see a Z06 burn rubber.

Also I find your story suspicious as I believe someone just so happened to post a video of a C63, M3 and a Z06 street racing the other day (with the Z06 pulling like a villain). And your story almost seems like you're narrating the video...

Maybe 1/5000 passenger cars are C63
A bit more for M3
Less for the e60 M5 and Z06

Even if in an area where the concentration is high like LA, NYC, Miami, etc
Let's say 1/100 are one of those, more like 1/1000
The odds of all 4 being at the same place randomly, not a pre-arranged race, meet, cars & coffee, etc
1/100 ^ 4 or one in 100 million!

Oh yes, when I was young and stupid I used to race well into the tripple digits speeds on the hwy with my previous cars and motorcycles. Now that I am older, I sometime asked myself: how in the world I didn't end up in jail or worse, dead or even worse than that...injuring or killing another innocent driver.

I often see some of these guys weave in and out traffic or zooming past me doing well over 100mph and it makes me shake my head. As I stated over and over, I do not support street racing and I know what I saw...period!

This may have you spinning, believe it or not, as we drove to the restaurant, we saw a white super clean CLS63 with slamming black wheels, then shortly after an ALL blacked out X5M (I don't see them that often) then a silver 997 TT P-car as we entered the parking lot - we ate at Sambucca.

Trust me, my buddies drink enough for all of us. And as you can imagine, I am always the designated driver.

I made some decent cash while in college by charging friends and roommates designated driver fees. Yep, if they wanted me to sit there and watch them get stupid drunk and drive home, then they had to pay me. It wasn't too bad though, I got to meet some nice girls along the way and no one ever got any DUI's or public intoxication charges.

The C63 does ride rough though; I have a pre FL however. I hear the post FL are much better.

I did owned a 2008 E63 which rode really nice, but it was too soft-loose; handling was kind of whack for a car with the much power. I truly think our current C63 handles better vs. that E63.

Very good points. My last car was a plain 06 Vette (NOT a Z06!) with headers, intake, and tune. My best was a 12.03 at 118.8 at 1250 foot of altitude. But a good friend of mine bought an 08 Z06. What a nice car but he had all kinds of trouble launching it at the strip and I beat him every time. But from a roll he would have beat me.

Now with the C63 with just a tune I ran a 12.6 on a 95 degree night. It will run a low 12 once it cools off making it pretty close to my old Vette. If I get long tubes then I expect it to be as quick or a little quicker than my old Vette.

The point is, the C63 is no slouch that will get beat by a Z06 from a roll, but may beat the Z06 from a standstill if the Vette guy can't launch.
