I've ordered a set of Vossen CVT's and can't decide yet what color I'm going to powder coat them.
I've got roughly 2 weeks to decide.
My car is obsidian black and I am intrigued by the bronze/goldish look on black cars.
However I am leaning towards a dark graphite color I've seen before as I will likely end up wrapping the car satin pearl white.

Any input?

 

Depends on what kind of styling you are going after. If you want to go with something different and more tuner look, I'd say gold/bronze. Gold/bronze wheels also remind me of race cars, haha. I'd consider gunmetal on a black car, if it was for myself.

 

Make that +2 for gun metal

Each to his own, but bronze on black has always seemed rice cake to me -- skylines, sylvias, civics, g35s, etc

 

Gunmetal for sure, bronze is nice but I think I would get bored of it quickly. Just my opinion though.

I also have a black P31 coupe, and just ordered some Vorsteiners in mate bronze with a similar pattern to the Vossens you are considering. When they arrive in a couple of weeks, I'll post pics so you will have some sort of reference point.

I am a fan of the bronze gold look though im nervous because i wouldnt want that color on a satin pearl white car.
Im still undecided but am leaning towards the graphite color.
My buddies old car is below and i loved the color of those wheels. Its slightly different in person than all the gunmetal wheels you see now. They were slightly silver looking from one angle but matte black from the other.

 

Well...
The CVT's didn't seem to fit. Vossen said these 19's won't fit my coupe and we test fit some 20's that were pretty close to the calipers up front.

Now the good news... I ordered a set of vorsteiner VS-110's instead!
Pretty excited, I'm going with the matte shadow color. Will post picks when they arrive(4-weeks).
