How I wash my AMG

We constantly touching, wiping and washing our cars because we love our car. Here is how I wash my car so I can avoid and minimize scratches and safely remove dirt.

I recently switched to AMMO products with great results. One of the best consumer products I've seen so far. Combine with two bucket wash during the entire car wash process I've only physically touched the car twice not counting the claying process 1. With a wash mit 2. with microfibre cloth and hyrate

Gears I use:
-Two buckets with grid guard
-Foamaster II foam gun
-Microfibre cloth
-Wool wash mitt
-Clay bar
-Detailer's brush
-Wheel brush
-Scrap pad

Ammo products:
-Foam paint cleanser
-Hydrate Paint Moistureizer
-Plum Wheel cleaner
-Lather interior cleanser
-Mousse Interior Conditioner

Spray the rims with Plum cleaner and after about 5-10 mins use wheel brush and soap water to clean the rims.

Once the rims are clean rinse the car with water and add one squirt of foam cleanser into the foam gun and spray the whole car.

(This is exactly what you think it is )

Now, fill two buckets with fresh water. One of them is designate for foam, add 3 squirts of foam to the bucket, one on the wash mitt, one on the inside of the wash mitt and one squirt on bottom the bucket.

Wash the car from top to bottom void direct sunlight and in straight line motions.

When done, rinse the car again with water and use electric leaf blower to air dry the car.

I live in Canada so there is lot of salt and rocks on the road so every spring I use clay bar and clay the entire car.

In the end drying process use a clean microfibre towel apply two spray of hydrate on the towel then lightly wipe the pain in straight lines, this will wipe away the water spots and leave behind a layer of protection.

As for the leather, spray the lather cleanser on the brush, if the area is dirty then use the pad afterwards to remove grease and dirt. When the leather is clean use conditioner to protect the leather and it will also give the car a new car leather smell.

There are some results:

Hydrate and the leather cleanser+cream in my opinion are the best AMMO products, other car wash brands just don't cut it

Wow
You have this down to a science
You also probably have the only black car in a harsh environment like Calgary's that has perfect paint

Very nice!

My process is virtually identical. I just use Optimum products in place of the Ammo products.

Only way to get it done in the winter. A heated home garage is much better than -25 F ambient temperatures. Anything to avoid the swirl-o-matic washes.

Yep
Good floor drain and a squeegy (and a TV lol)
I have a heat pump so it's 55 to 60 F or so
The floor dries fast in the winter with the exh fan on and doors opened a foot or so

Sounds like a damn fine setup! I have a garage heater hanging from the ceiling in the corner. It's quiet, relatively inconspicuous, and very effective.

With the coating I have on the floor, I can easily just spray all the brake dust and grime off with a hose, which is nice.

Nice set-up
Mine is less finished lol
I use a floor leveller looks like concrete, 1/8" skim coat
My brother owns a flooring company he recommened it
Have it done every 4-5 years it's due now

Went with a heat pump, 1/2 ton split unit Mitsubishi
Installed it myself, dead silent
Cool in the summer, set at 78 and keeps it dry
It has a dehumid mode
So if the cars are wet from rain I turn it on and broom the floor water around for a minute to thin it out
Dried out in 1/2 hour or so
Prevents mold

Thanks for the write up. I have been thinking about switching to the Ammo Line of Car Care products and I think that put me over the edge to buy.

I haven't seen someone washing their car in a home garage. Don't you worry about water hitting the drywall and causing rot/mold?

I use this to spray down the car, loosen contaminants, and lubricate the paint when working inside:

Then I use the two-bucket method (working from the top of the car down).

No water even comes close to the drywall with this method, fortunately.

Obviously we have winter here....but temperatures remain the same. Tropical climates close to the equator. I guess I have to specify for you. That's why I said "I wouldn't know" as I never experienced anything colder than 50 F.

If you don't know when the picture was taken, why did you assume winter?

That was posted BEFORE the pic in question
The silver car on the nice floor

In response to the comment 'Never saw a car washed in a home garage' I replied I do in the winter...NOT that that the pic was taken in the winter
Lol
You are leaping to conclusions and personally attacking me over your misunderstanding

For clarity
I do in the winter
Not that the poster of the pic does
Or that the pic was taken in the winter ( although it may have been, but I don't know)

You personally attacked me with your sarcastic remark of replying:
"Winter is an astronomic event, it happens in Florida too Lol"
You attack me, I attack you, it's that simple.

I would've simply replied "oh okay" if you just left it as is without a usual sarcastic reply.
You always have to escalate people's post for some reason, and it ends up with a skirmish.
You've been temporarily banned multiple times, how have you not realized your mistakes yet?

As I said lighten up
You consider that an attack? The mods will decide that, not you

If you think being banned from a chat room is one of lifes mistakes and has any signifigance we are operating on different planes
Like it is shameful lol get real
No need for further communication we obviously look at things differently

Are you saying I should let you formulate my responses? Lol
Who cares what you (or I) say lol

If the post is towards me, wouldn't I be the one who decides if it is an attack personally? Why would I need someone else to decide for me?

This is a Forum, not a chat room. Being banned from a Forum may not be life mistakes, but being banned on a Forum means you can't follow the rules you agreed to, when registering.

I agree, no more further discussion...
