Mode Carbon or JL Motoring?

Hey All, taking delivery of a new white 507 in a couple of days. Already looking at mods for it. First will be carbon rear diffuser, front lip spoiler, mirrors, and carbon trunk lid spoiler. Anyone have preferences between Mode Carbon's Luftstrom collection or JL Motoring's pieces? Been using the search button but no direct comparisons between these two.

I have purchased pieces from both companies.
JL Motorings pieces will be a drop shipment from over seas whereas Mode Carbon will be a stocked piece that is located in the U.S. and will get the qc the asking price requires.
The quality of JL Motorings items are really pretty good, but you may get that one that doesn't fit quite right, or the cf weave is off. Mode Carbons quality is really second to none, and fitment on my cf diffuser was perfect.

I personally would say Mode Carbon is in a league of their own.

Congrats on the new car and as always, Happy Modding!

I have not dealt with JL but I have dealt with Mode. I can tell you that Mode's quality meets or exceeds OEM quality. The color and weave matches the AMG oem cf perfectly. I added Modes's cf hood vents (for the 507 and Black Series) and it matched all of my factory carbon aero package parts perfectly.

I agree with JRCart. Mode Carbon's products are second to none. Their customer service is also incredible. You really cant go wrong. I've seen a couple 507's with their full kit and it looks amazing. You won't regret it.

I don't really know as though it's a fair comparison. Mode Carbon I essentially think of as more a boutique thing (made only by them) whereas JLMotors is a regular version (outsourced from Asia and resold by many companies).

You're talking $825 vs $460 for the big fin rear diffuser. For nearly twice the price of course Mode Carbon will be better. Do you want absolute perfection? Then be prepared to pay up for Mode Carbon. Do you just want a big fin diffuser that might not be 100% perfect, but will still look just fine....then pay half the price and get JLMotoring. The choice depends on your budget and desired level of perfectionism.

Have you been on any other forums?

another difference between mode and JL is that JL's big fins protrude more. so keep that in mind.

right on, will def keep that in mind. I like the smaller fins as they are pretty much esthetic only and don't really reduce the vortexes from under the car.

I like to use multiple vendors to help support as many as I can. I bought the nostril vents from Mode and front lip spoiler, trunk lid spoiler, rear diffuser (didn't know the fins were larger but I'll live with it), and mirror covers from RW. RW is close to me and shipping was one day. I received my parts before the car. Hopefully, car gets delivered today.

Thanks again to almost everyone who posted. lol Will be searching for a tuner to do a stage I tune but will read up first then ask any specific q's. Leaning towards OE tuning right now.

Interested in seeing how the mirror covers are. and you might want to look at Eurocharged for the tune. No activity from OE these days.

Thanks for the heads up on Eurocharged. I called and talked to Jacob today. Will get the tune after my break in period.
