A disgrace that a top quality LSD is not standard factory fitment.

Both have smal advantages/disadvantages which offset
When you lift a wheel with the quaife supposedly you lose drive to the other
With the wavetrac you will still apportion some to the wheel with traction
6 of one 1/2 dozen of the othrr
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Anyways i had OEM LSD and now wavetrac and the wavetrac is a lot more "tight" ..the OEM felt sloppy before anyways so MB kinda did you a favour by not putting it in..saves you $$ when you get a wavetrac put in

I've been into old GM rear ends and can't see this being much different.

I'm definitely getting a wavetrac soon, just doing a bit of research on the forums and i've seen the majority with wavetrac + theres always people saying it actually does a make a difference. Looking forward to the install soonish!

Apparently a time consuming exercise as so much stuff to disconnect/connect.
Only issue of any significance is that on some vehicles the Wavetrac will just touch the housing cover - minimal machining required or just use the angle grinder. Not something that will stop a do it yourself - just be mindful of the clearance and if necessary machine/grind a little off.
