Need Opinions: Which is More Aggressive: OEM 18 or OEM Muli 19 Wheels?
hey guys, had no plans of getting wheels until the day I can afford HRE P43SC LOL...
For some reason browsing through the forums late last night, (which always gets me in trouble because I want something new every time) the Multi spoke 19s have really grown on me. and its time to buy tires was going to go with 275/245 PSS on the stock 18s but this maybe an excuse to upgrade to the 19s? Will for sure need spacers as without looks horrible.
Second, I want to keep the "clean look" chrome grill, chrome window trim, so I would assume if i went the multi spoke route titanium would be better?
What do you guys think? My main focus with my car is beefy aggressive look.. Which wheel is more aggressive in your opinion?
** Also I will be painting the calipers Lamborghini Ithica Verde Lime Green soon, Which wheels will look better for brake calipers? this is where it gets tricky the green calipers would pop off with a set of black ones!
Maybe someday I will upgrade to HRE P43SC, for now its only a dream..
PS DONT MIND MY EXHAUST TIPS GOING TODAY TO FIX THAT LOL (SORRY FOR THE HORRIBLE IPHONE PIC WITH IPHONE EDITING, WAS TOO LAZY TO MOVE THE CAR BUT DID WANT TO SHOW MY ONLY EXTERIOR MOD, VORSTEINER DIFFUSER

MBWorld Fanatic!
18s and 19s are both really nice ... someone offered me 1200 for stock 18"s without tires before and I said no ... lol its really up to you man.
also I don't know if I would call lime green calipers "clean" ....but if you do paint them and decided to go with 19s I think the black multispokes might look better.
good luck !!!

The way I drive, I'd never want to go 19s. I'm going through my rear tires faster than with any other cars I ever owned. The price difference for the 18s is a strong point for keeping the 18in wheels.
The ride is also better and I believe the unsprung weight is lower as well. YMMV.

HRE just announced the FF15, Theyre the closest rim to the OEM multispokes. They're flowform while the OEM is cast so less chance of cracking. I'd wait for those, two birds one stone. Hre and multispokes in one. Always hated the OEM 18's. Probably same price as a set of OEM 19's too. Check it out!

I like the look of the 18's better personally, I don't like multi-spoke wheels as I feel like they are hiding too much of the sweet sweet goodness that we call our brakes!

Wow, I'm surprised most people like the 18s better. Like snowmuch I have the 18s for winter and the 19s for summer, and look-wise, there is absolutely no comparison for me.
I really love the look of my car on 19s and with the 18' she looks just like any other mercedes, and it hurts my feelings a little .

19s look better than 18s when car is lowered, but will lose ride comfort...

The 19" multispoke in black looks good but I would never buy them as (a) they are usally $$$ unless you get a great used price and that sort of money opens up lots of other non OEM options and (b) too many reports of people having wheels failures with the 19" - very disappointing for an OEM wheel - no such reports re the 18" - partly due to people running inadequate pressure in 19s?
18" rubber is usually better priced than 19.
I run 19s and the ride is a little firmer over 18s but certainly not a deal breaker.
