Next Car? - Cayman GT4

This ticks a lot of boxes for me:
- Manual
- Naturally aspirated
- Handling and balance of Cayman with power of 911
- Looks hot (love the wheels - and with 295's in the rear will not have traction issues)
I had the original Cayman S which I loved, but it lacked a little grunt. They have finally put a decent engine in one.
It won't have that V8 note, but the Cayman GTS sounds great, so I think this will also be special.
But I am pretty sure it is stupid expensive for what you get. That always irritated me about Porsche - that they charge such a premium for what the product is actually worth. Check the options sheet for any Porsche and my blood boils.

Ticks every box for me, and I loved my 996TT.

I didn't much care for my 996tt because it was so heavily modified and a pain in the *** to drive daily. But, for some reason, I miss it every single day.
While I like this car, I would really want to get back into a turbo. Maybe when the 991's come down

i feel the same. porsche is grossly overpriced. for the price of their turbo, i can get a pre-owned gallardo.
and this car looks way too similar to a gt3, no thought went into designing this car at all. And if i'm paying 150k+ for a gt3, i don't want it looking like a cayman. jesus christ, really?

Having the engine over the driven wheels really does give them an acceleration and traction advantage. 911s are always faster than the on-paper specs would suggest.
I'll stop talking on both sides of my mouth, and go back to "Porsches are overpriced" haha

BUT, i personally would be able to dd a G. Down here in south florida it's common. i personally wouldn't, as i would have 2 cars, however. You definitely won't see my dropping 160k on a gt3 when i can get a Verde ithica drop top G for 125-140.... hmmmmm yum
It's OK to like your C63 sedan, and also like a Cayman. Doesn't have to be one or the other
...Well this just beat it around "the ring"
...For a fraction of the price.
Comparing a p-car like this to our c63's is pointless. Completely different ends of the automotive world. As for holding their value, they do it quite well. Sure, you can go out there and search for the cheapest 911 turbo on the internet and say they can be had for xyz. However, to have one actually worth owning you'll still pay quite a bit.
Unlike this car where as soon as you drive it off the lot you might as well take that $10k depreciation hit immediately.

That's the 997 GT3RS it "beat" not the new 991 GT3.
