I have 265 PSS on the rear of my '12 sedan. A wider tire may fit, but it may also have a sufficiently curved profile that the edges of the tread don't touch the ground and the contact patch is no larger than for a 265.
I will say that with 265 PSS on the rear replacing the stock Conti tires, the difference is night and day. I have lots more traction off the line and when accelerating out of a turn, the rear end no longer attempts to pass the front.

Tire size again?
So I have a new 2014 c63 sedan. They are the 18 inch wheels . What tire will fit on the stick rim with performance benefits and not rub at all even in hard cornering . And what size so the speedo stays the same? Front and back . The car is awesome but the conti tires are crap and loud .

I have 19" wheels on my 507 and my PSS 275's fit just fine.
Just a word of advice, Don't bother with any other tire than the Michelin Pilot Super Sport
My car came with the Continental ContiSportContact 5 P. The traction wasn't anywhere close to the PSS and they ride really rough in comparison.
I also tried the Continental ExtremeContact DW for about two months and ended up switching to the PSS The sidewall on the DW was WAY to squishy. Even a gusty side wind would make the car wobble all over the road I will never go with any other tire than the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. You just can't beat it

So does the computer on the 2014 c63 allow you to change the tire sizes. Because the rear has a 255 35 18 . There is no real match to that . Going to a 265 35 18 is not much bigger and will do ' but the sidewall is taller so it will make the rear sit even closer to the tire. The car already sits a little higher in the front . I guess you can change a the sizes and get he same rake as stock' but most likely with speedo issues right?
