Stick with 20's or go to 19's?

Stick with 20's or go to 19's?
I'm kicking around the idea of selling my HRE M47's in matte black (this winter) to drop down to a 19" wheel and have a little more sidewall. The car doesn't ride badly, but in the Cincinnati area, potholes are a plenty in the Spring. Currently, the car has 245/30/20 tires on the front, and 285/25/20 on the rear. It's also on Bilstein PSS10 suspension, with little-to-no rubbing (front barely rubs on big dips). I have an appointment Wednesday to raise the car .25"-.5" and re-align it to address the rubbing. If I downsized in wheel diameter, would go with the same widths, and a 35 front, 30 rear aspect ratio for 19's....I might go with a half inch narrower width wheel also.
Also, I purchased the car with the 20's (9" front, 10" rear) and it doesn't have TPMS sensors installed currently (I imagine because of how low profile they are).
Pic of the car currently on the 20's, which sit very flush:
I'm a fan of everything about my wheel setup, except the very small sidewall.
What would you do? Vote in the poll above.

You are in Cincinnati? I am in Mason, OH!
Re rim size - 19 inch, definitely. There is not enough tire selection in 20 inch - no real sports tires (extreme performance summer) or streetable track tires like the Michelin Sports Cup 2. Plus I would definitely want TPMS, so I can monitor pressures on the track.

The PSS support 0.9 lateral g=forces, the Sport Cup 2s 1.2 g........ It is all about what matters to you.
Agree, you should be able to add TPMS without problems.

If I track the car, I'll likely pickup a set of 18" Forgestars (I have them on my 3 series) and run Hankook RS3's or Bridgestone RE-11's.
Right now it's my primary driver until it gets cold, then I'll either pickup a cheap daily or lease something.
Thanks. I do like it the way I bought it (I guess that's obvious), I'm just undecided on taking a chance with such small sidewalls.

2004 Subaru STI - Prodrive springs, Cusco f/r sways, 400whp
2007 335i - OE sport suspension, full bolt-ons, e85, 400whp (probably closest to compare to the C63)
The C63 is the best suspension setup of everything I've owned so far. It's firm, limited body roll, but is not obnoxious to drive. I've ridden in cars with all kinds of suspension setups, and I believe the PSS10's are the most balanced of performance and comfort I've come across yet. I currently daily drive the car and have a 2 year old daughter. I also drove the car 300 miles back home after purchasing it. I haven't messed with any of the adjustments (that will take place Wednesday when I have the car raised), but I would have no worries about doing a track day in the car, or driving it to Florida.
Side note- the car originally had KW V3's on it, but the second owner changed them out for the PSS10's for unknown reasons.
I hope this answers your question.

Thanks for the feedback.
First I'll give a little background about the cars I've owned as a comparison.

Maybe we can meet there some time. I have never seen another C63 there when I went in the past.

I have had a passenger in the back and didn't notice any rubbing, but I wasn't cornering hard or anything.
There are more C63 owners in Cincy than I thought...

On a positive note, I placed the order for some Forgestar CF-10 wheels this morning
Specs are: 19x8.5 +40 front and 19x10 +52 rear in matte black.
I plan to run 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 tires on them. They should arrive next week

I couldn't care less. The HRE's have a terrible finish on them that looks painted (instead of powder coated), and I'm not sure if they've corrected that over the years. Forgestars are rotary forged, which is the same as BBS and I've not met anyone to snub BBS wheels because they're a known brand.
I have F14's on my 335i and they've been a great set of wheels with no issues.
Edit: after some searching, HRE also produces flow formed wheels.

I'm just saying going from monoblocks forged to flow formed wheels is a downgrade, but if u are ok with it & had great experience with Forgestar, u are lucky. Plus finding a new set of CF10 in a week is a miracle.
Some people here waited over 6 months for their wheels.

Need 4 Speed Motorsports said Forgestar has these exact specs in stock and ready to be powdercoated. I told him I got a flat on my passenger rear so I'd like to get them in asap so I'm not spending $300-$400 on a tire for a set of wheels I'm selling.
