Phil, I just raised this question on AMG3.2 build thread... so you are saying add spacers & call it a day will look fine? I think it will look funky. LOL
I thought these fenders added more clearance outside the fenders & since we are not touching the rear axle, we should be able to run 19x11 with 295/30/19 no?
Totally agree Roswell.....I had 19x10's on my stock '09 with 285's with no rubs....if you can run 19x10s with a -25, then you can run 19x11.5's and put some more meat down. with an 11.5 you can run a 305

Copied from other thread again.
For sure there is more room.
19x10 +25, has the same clearance as 19x11 +38.
So, ideally, with these HMS Fender Flares, you should be running a 19x11 +38 with a 295/30/19 or a 305/30/19.
Porsche's run OEM 19x11 on 305/30/19 without issue. That's probably as far as I would push it, as the 305s are quite beefy on the 19x11.
19x11.5s will not fit, as the barrel will hit the inner strut. You can fit 11.5s, but you need to go more aggressive on the fitment, so you'll be even close to rubbing.
So, in short, to follow HMS's recommendations, I would run 19x11 +38 with a 305/30/19.
Would then proceed to get the OEM Camber Bolts in the Rear, or some KMAC Bolts in the rear, to dial in that perfect fitment.
I would also shave off the inner "lip" on those HMS Fenders, that extra bit of clearance will be the difference between rubbing and not rubbing.
Just run spacers on your VS-XX until you're happy with the fitment and it doesn't rub, then you'll find out.
Doesn't look like there's too much more room there.
Max fitment on OEM is usually 19x10 +50 with a 275/30/19. The fenders are only about 30MM Wider, so it makes sense to be able to run 19x10 +25. Maybe +20 at the most.
Keep in mind, rubbing on FRP Flares and rubbing on Metal are two different things.
Exactly the plan. Spacers will give me an idea of where I'd like to be offset wise which will then give me an idea of the ideal lip size.

So I actually looked at this prior to leaving the house, and there actually isn't a lip to these fenders like there is on the metal fenders of our cars. FYI. I can take some pictures if you'd like, but mthis has some good ones above that illustrate this.
So the HMS Jade R wheels are 19x10 +25 as shown below. I don't get it. Based on how wide these fenders are, shouldn't we be able to fit a more aggressive offset? Obviously a ton of backspacing available here, but still. I feel like a +15 should work, but given the below picture, I'm not sure I'd push it any further.... Thoughts anyone? Unless they're running a spacer, but I asked HMS to confirm the info above and they said this was indeed the recommended size.
That was the initial first production run of the HMS flares and they are slightly wider now around (~35mm) each side. Also keep in mind when you cut the factory metal you will gain more inboard clearance. They also run a very conservative ride height (Maximize shock stroke). Most regular street cars will be a tad lower ; more natural negative camber will occur which will effectively help with rubbing, and opening up more options for an aggressive wheel/tire set up. This is where it differs for everyone.
Let's just say the baseline on a stock C63 will be a 19x10 +50 just for the wheel. With the fenders you safety gain up to 50mm.
So with all the numbers done correctly. This is what it looks like with a 19x10 +13, exactly 37mm of a less offset than the +50 baseline.
(There is still much more room, around 10~15mm) to play with if you want aggressive fitment aka more wheel to tire.
Another benefit using FRP is there is no "rubbing" in long term. You can install the fenders, run your ideal wheel/tire size. Lower the car and roll it around at low speed to see where it catches. You can use a heat gun to slightly "bow" out sections where it might be catching and if it rubs on high speed cornering with elevation changes and dips, it will wear itself down immediately without damaging the tire ; compared to metal. But I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for this insight.
It also depends how low you are. I'm currently on the stock y-spoke wheels and am running a 5mm spacer with -2.1 degrees of camber. Based on how low I am, I'd be damned if I could fit an 8mm spacer back there. In fact, the works I have coming won't even fit based on how low I can right now. According to my calculations, they stick out another 11 or so mm's.
I'm curious to see how these will look with a 30mm spacer (ordered). I know I may have to push them out another 10 to 15, but for would rather like to get everything installed and bolted up prior to ordering new outer barrels.
The crappy part about these Works is that the previous owner had the lips custom powdercoated with some super strong powder (I forget the name) so I can't just swap out the rears...
Also, that looks like some decent stretch on a 10... Are those 255's?
How is getting larger size tires going to effect tire circumference. Stock diameter is 25 inches and going to larger size tire is going to close to be close 26 inches across. Is this going to screw with any of the the electronics ? ( of course the speedometer will be off some). Will traction control be effected ?
It won't screw anything up. As long as its around 3% rolling diameter of each other. No traction control issues. Speedo may be off by up to 1 mph depending on the extra large tire set ups.

With 305/30/19 in the rear you are 4.7% off in diameter. Your speedo will read 3-4 mph low at highway speeds. Feel free to use the attached workbook I use for selecting wheels and tires.
I am driving 255/35/19 in front and 305/30/19 in the rear without issues with ESC or any other electronics. Just be aware of the speedo reading low.
Order is near finished. At the moment, I am planning to get the shipment picked up and having them ship out soon! I will update you guys as soon as the fenders arrive at my place.

I can ship anywhere in the world but I am not too sure if the interest for a second group buy is strong enough.

Hey, what are the specs? (wheel/tire size) - I'll let you know if they will work.
The fenders should be here sometime this week!
They left Hamburg port last week. Once they arrive here, i'll do an inspection and repackage them. For all of you who ordered in the first GB, I will contact all of you soon to collect shipping fees and get them out.
sounds good.. vossen is actually going to measure everything for a aggressive fitment.. so they want the fenders installed so they can do all the measuring and then cast the wheels.. so yeah lol but hopefully its in our possession by the 20th or something..
I don't want to promise anything but it will be VERY close to that deadline. Since you are the next, next state over. UPS Ground shipping should be quick. I'll keep everyone updated.
