I don't think you will find too many people running cams here actually I doubt anyone is running cams
For the price of cams you could pick up a 2nd hand blower

i was thinking about just going with the stage 3 but i got a great deal that i couldn't refuse on the stage 2.. so i was gonna do the stage 2 with all internals and transmission rebuild with the carbon drive shaft and torque converter.. but while i was getting the internals done i was looking into the mhp cams.. so just got on to get a insight of who's running them or whatever the case..

I'm fairly sure that the stock M156 internals will be fine way after the stage 2 SC is past its ideal range. If you want more than what a stage 2 can offer, I think it's a false economy to use it just because it was cheap. The SC unit will always be the limiting factor no matter how strong the motor, or how big the cams. (unless you run nitrous)

Not from the research I have done. I think it was Dads63 that tried them. They lost power. It wasn't like the SLR cams in a 55 motor. I think its because they were designed to work with the intake manifold setup on the SLS. No matter what they did tune wise, they lost power.
He was selling a full set of SLS cams for $1000 if I remember right. His car with the MHP cams sounds nasty, but $8,000 for cams is a lot of money for the 40-50 whp they gain.

Jr cart replied to my thread in the amg private lounge saying it's not worth doing as the gains are minimal unless you can get an sls intake under the hood of a c. It would be nice if companies like msd, made an air force intake for the m156.... Great gains on the ls motors.... And the cost is minimal.
