Full Size Spare Tire Question
Hi guys! Been wanting to buy a full size spare tire for my 08 C63 (kinda hate the donut spare tire) will the OEM 18" front tire fits the rear side? If not, any recommendation which one to get.... thanks.

I never tried a front on the rear for fit myself but I believe MB Canada use the front wheels all around with winter tires for a winter set up on the C63.

Hey everyone,
Sorry to revive an old thread but I have tried to use the search function to no avail so apologies if this has been done to death
What is the largest spare tyre that will :
a. Fit in the trunk and ;
b. Clear the calipers on my performance W204 C63 coupe?
I appreciate any and all responses
cheers

So I doesn't "really" fit. The tools won't screw down like they do with the actual spare and the width of the tire ads some height. Notice how the box of golf ***** sinks in. If you don't use your trunk regularly or haul heavy things it might be okay. I put my regular spare back in.

Thanks Skull - appreciate the effort you put in there.
I had tried my original fronts once before and noted the 19 x 8 actually fitted in the bay but as you said, it was a bit high and the cover would not sit flat.
So what I'm wondering what is the largest wheel tyre combo anyone has used that sits in the bay correctly. One wheel shop suggested a 17" would fit in there but my concern is will it fit over my calipers.
So has anyone done this ? The challenge in Australia is that our roads are crap and the distances we travel are typically large. So I wanted to be able to use a larger spare when traveling. I've been told that the space saver tyre would typically wear out under 100 klms (~60 miles).
I've already had 1 rim repaired and have in the space of a week cracked another rim without being able to pinpoint how/when I did it. When we took the wheels off we discovered cracks in both the rears as well!
I've only owned the car for about 3 months and this is not the best introduction to Mercedes ownership :-)

Was there an option so-and-such "full size spare". If there was, someone looks it up in the parts software and gives you the part numbers to order, you retrofit your car and carry a full size.
Anyway, I'll look into this a bit more.

2013 W204 C63 AMG P31 Estate wagon
C43 front wheel as replacement for space saver spare.
Almost since I bought my car, I have run a w204 C class front wheel 18x7.5" with 215/45x18 tire as my spare.
Although this is better than a space saver always was looking for a Mercedes 18x7.5" wheel with a better offset than ET47.
Well I found one, the W205/206 C43 has a front wheel 18x7.5 with ET33.
Couple the with the before mentioned 215/45x18 tire and both fit in my estate wheel well with everything intact as shown in pics.
