Buying a c63
so I'm looking to buy a c63 very soon but just wanted to know your guys opinion. I'm looking at some with miles around 54000 or less do you guys think that it will still run good and have no mechanical issues? What I'm trying to say is will it last me still a very long time without giving me too much headache.
Thanks
Thanks

We need a specific buyers guide thread that can be its own sticky.
Oh wait, nvm, it wouldn't matter.
I'm about to just come up with some type of common catastrophic failure that every last c63 is vulnerable of and make it seem like a really bad buy. Keep this hidden gem to us.
Let's just shift the headbolt problem from PFL to all M156 and see how many people we can scare away.

We should create a popup that prevents new users from posting anything prior to reading, and acknowledging the stickies.
1. Create new thread
2. POPUP: Please read the stickies
3. [ ] check this box to acknowledge you've read the stickies
4. Please answer the following two questions....
5. Your answers were correct, please proceed to thread creation.

I just joined few weeks ago, but I'm still trudging through some of the stickies, some have a lot of pages!
But so much general knowledge about the car is there!

C63 AMG - LSD
Jesus, here we go...
fun fact OP: Not a single person on this forum has kept their C63 past 85k miles. Between the headbolt issues, the motor spontaneously blowing up anytime you go over half throttle and the constant smell of Doritos in the cabin... Most owners either total it or move on before that happens.

Yep, there is a TON of info in those pages, but def worth it if you stick it out and make it through it all....also some great comical parts lol.

Every single member keeps theirs for about 4-6 months before they swap them out. We have a sign up chart and we swap our C63's with each other. It is a very majestic sight to behold!

It's good to keep me entertained!
I always wondered why there was no 85K mile example!

With stuff like this we're about to get the biggest "Should I buy crowd" we've seen to date. To the OP though the car is rock solid if you buy a 2012+. Also there are some members selling their C63's here too, so do us a favor and buy one of their cars. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to answer all your questions about the car. On the real though if you don't love Doritos, then you should just leave.

Just traded in a 3 month old '16 Stingray Z51 and picked up a low mile, one owner '12 C63 AMG coupe w/3 year warranty. Was coming out of my 2nd CTS-V and thought a Vette would be fun. It was but, the great performance wasn't enough for me to get past the harsh ride, PIA getting in/out (back problems), cheapish interior, and fewer luxury features. Really enjoying this car so far and LOVE the exhaust music! Will have fun with this great car until the warranty drops and then probably pick up a used 3rd gen V.
OP, best of luck in your search. There's some pretty decent deals to be had. Like others have already said, do your homework and you'll be fine!

Saw this on the drive in. Yes, I illegally took that bury pic while in motion. I felt it was my duty to capture this rare moment and share...
