It's just really difficult to hear over my mba speakers. Below is 2 videos from mine with zero issues.

You can hear the injectors in this one.

But very faint in this one (camera proximity).

That one sound normal yes.

The "noise must stay", when it´s getting loader or following the rpm than there is something wrong like mine.

I´ve checked the cam adjuster, they are all locking.
So i think there is no problem at this.
The video on top sounds like a lifter to me. It is at a much lower cycle than the buzzing noise I hear in the first video you posted. I agree that the first video you posted sounds like normal injector duty cycle.

It´s the bad sound quailty.
I found another video:

That is exaclty what my C63 is doing.

For me that are 99% the Lifters.

But they are all new...

That is not normal in any car. My 2009 used to make that exact same noise intermittently and rarely. Never seemed to be any rhyme or reason to it.

Yes but they are brand new.

Some guys told me that before to install new ones they must stay in oil.

I installed the lifters without it (like the WIS says nothing about it).
Only put some oil at the surfaces, but didn´t filled the lifters.

Brand new does not mean non-defective. Also, how many miles have you driven since lifter replacement?

Also, I don't know what parts are in between the M156 lifter and the part that actually opens and closes the valve but perhaps you have a clearance issue (like a loose rocker in the olden days).

That's fine, but it doesn't mean it's not lifters. Because that's lifters.

mine got 3x louder when I went long tube headers...I wrote it off as chain noise or lifter noise.

this guy said it was lifter noise and it went away. did you soak your lifters in oil for a day prior to install?

I think your lifters are fine and you're just paranoid.

I know you claim an audio recording quality issue, but your first 2 videos sound absolutely normal.

You also have a noisy accessory. Could be water pump or possibly PS pump. What year is your car?

I'd put money on it not being lifters. They are VERY distinguishable at idle.

I'll take another video of mine once it cools down enough so the fan doesn't come on.

How closely were the cams checked, when you did the lifters?
it may be possible to check them on the car, with a feeler gauge, turning the engine by hand. even if you can't quite see anything, if the gauge registers any sudden dip in the profile section, that's the answer.
But maybe you replaced the cams too..

I don't know if the M156 does this, but with many designs, the lifter turns around its axis. I don't know how fast, but it's designed offset by an amount not visually noticeable, causing the rotation.
The rotation is to reduce wear, to prevent the carving of a "path" in both the cam and the lifter.
This rotation can be prevented improper oil or gunk build caused by hot shutdowns.
The interaction between cam and lifter is not as simple as a contact line. Uneven wear can cause noises.
Sometimes, the new lifters and the old cam will "burn-in" after a while and the noise will all but go away.

So take a look at the WIS, there could be a procedure there to check cam profile, if not, especially since it seems that you have the covers off already, try to borrow a gauge and take a look.

Take a look at this page, this guy collected a lot of misc cam information and apparently he knows about lifter rotation and explains misc forms of wear. Again, I don't know if this rotation applies to the M156, but wear of the lobes can happen for sure and should be checked.

Those oil pressure readings that you mention, were they taken with the temperature ay 80C?
They want you to measure the temperature in the oil pan, but I guess the factory reading could be ok.

Hey, do you still have the oil pressure adapter filter cap? want to sell it?

The oil pressure was measured at 90C.

My Cap with adapter is DIY. (drilled a hole in the originale one, now replaced it.)
