amg performance media
Im assuming theres probably much more involved to adding this option after the fact but I figured I would ask.
Does anyone know where this data/program is actaully stored? Is it in the actual ecu? Media interface module? Somewhere else? I highly doubt it would be as easy as swapping some type of module and adding the little amg button...probably need quite a few wiring harnesses as well
Im seeing a totaled 507 coupe completely dismantled with tons of parts for sale. I ran the vin and it has lots of nice options. I was lucky enough to grab all the oem interior carbon fiber parts for a steal of a price

Do you know if the headlights were not too badly damaged? I'd be interested as I need a couple of the internal parts for a project...

I was curios about the performance media and took a look at the WIS electrical diagram section. I cannot say that I can read the diagrams no problem yet, but I think I saw a performance media module, there is a piece of hardware for this.

As kevin mentioned,i did retrofit amg performance media on my 204 facelift sedan. it is clear that this part is not black series exclusive option,as an optional sa code 255,u can buy with ur car when factory out or retrofit it from aftermarket.
the parts do cost a lot,a core module is needed which mb raised price to 2xxx bucks recently ,and you have to source the button and wiring harness
the installation is very straight forward, mount the module under ur passager footrest floor, power wire to ur fusebox, wire to ur car CAN B and CAN E and rewire ur command video to mediabox as well as menu dials
the amg performance me diabox will take over the command video source and output video signal to mainscreen,it will be activated via amg button on ur center console and u have to trigger it via xentry

Kosmos that's pretty cool and going by your instructions doesn't seem terribly difficult. Care to post the part numbers for the module and harness?

Any updates on the part list or what exactly is needed for the retrofit? I just purchased a 507 edition fully loaded but of course no AMG performance media or AMG button. hoping with the upgraded Media package and command upgrade it might be simpler???

Do you know if this performance media is compatible with pre-facelift cars?
According to your photo, your menu is in chinese. Are you located in China? I'm in Shanghai

Performance media package looks cool. Would love to get it.
Kosmos, was it a plug and play solution, or did you need to cut and run wires.
I would think that the standard harness would have all the wiring in place. You should just need the control module, additional wiring harness to the box, the AMG button.

the wire is p&p, CAN bus socket is existing, no cut is needed unless when you install the USB wire onto your glove box, you have to cut a square to fit in the USB socket but that's all

and i am (not 100% sure) afraid it can not be fit with pre fl models cos the amg button panel are linked with the new Command console, and pre fl model doesnt have C/S/S+/RS dial which should be connected together via wire harness

So I guess on a C63 Black Series originally built w/o this package can be retrofitted with no bigger issues, right? I'm def gonna have a look at this too. Thanks for sharing mate. One quick question though, I saw the dashboar is written in some korean/chinese/jap language, there is an option to change that, correct?

GREAT! As I'm fluent in the three languages, just like our fellow Kosmos, no problem at all. But seriously, if you're not too busy being the thread cop, you could take a rest now.. Would do you some good Cheers.

Thank you again, brightest of them all. Such a gentlement, providing enlightenment for us. Really, your habilities to polemicize every other topic are trully inspiring, BLKROKT. I won't go any further as you apparently have too much free time to stretch foolish arguements. I apologize to OP, will try to stick to the thread. Best regards.
