Black Series questions

1. Which hoods are Aluminum? Only the 507 and BS? or all FL?
2. I keep reading about Carbon Fiber this and that (inserts, fenders, body panels) for the Black Series. What was this, the car came from the factory one way, with a Steel/Aluminum body and then there is a list of Carbon factory Items you can buy? or was there an option code for everything carbon for the Black series? maybe in combination with the back seat deletion?
And even there you still could not get rid of the 100 lb glass roof? even there, there was no carbon panel to delete the sunroof?
3. Does the Black series have a standard, or optional carbon driveshaft?
4. When you have the carbon ceramic rotors option, as far as the rear brakes, do they come with the separate mechanical parking brake calipers, because there are no more drums?
1) yes for all FL
2) Carbon fiber parts have differnt optional code for BS, there are interior /exterior option codes for decoration (like mirror and side skirts), racing option (front canards, rear wing, bigger front spoiler)you wont have carbon roof even if you want to delete the glass sunroof
3)no, as i mentioned, C63 bs is actuall a normal C204 with E63 rear axle, enhanced oil cooler, tuned ECU, the engine parts is exactly the same as P31/507
4)CCB is not an option on C63 bs but you can retrofit them without any issue.
all you mentioned like carbon driveshaft and hood/fender is actually standard spec on SLS bs which makes it totally different from a normal SLS, (and lion battery, different engine parts etc.) but a C63 BS is not

And there was no carbon driveshaft option from the factory.
(since we are in the W204 C63 forum, all my answers are in reference to those cars)

I really noticed the difference in weight from my 2010 when I opened the hood for the first time and still notice it now.

Too bad they did not have a carbon roof option for the C63 bs.
Now that this was brought up, no li ion battery either.
I know about the GT and SLS carbon driveshafts, but both are transaxle cars.
The C63 BS is not, so if there was a carbon driveshaft option, that would be interesting to know.
Then again the w205 are not transaxle either, BMW puts carbon driveshafts in every m3/4, Mercedes doesn't like to be left behind, so I think eventually the cars will start to have them.
I see that for w205 the carbon ceramic brakes only mean front brakes, the rear stays with steel rotors and floating calipers.
I get that the normal W204 C63 did not have carbon brakes option, but I thought they were available for BS.
Did the carbon ceramic brakes for W204 BS also mean only carbon fronts?

So what's all this thing about converting C63 brakes to Carbon Black Series brakes?
Maybe I got this wrong then..
