Anyone looking to suit up with ultra racing bars?
Hey guys,
Was looking at the full ultra racing bars set up for the C63. Spoke with a vendor to see If he would be willing to give me a deal. He came back with about a 25% discount from HIS retail price if I purchased all 6 pieces available at a min qty of 3 sets.
Works out to 760.00US each + shipping for the full set up.
Anyone interested in going in on this with me?
Not a crazy deal...but savings should cover shipping costs and then some.
Let me know if ur interested.
FIY: A few other members here are running them with good reviews and have read that these bars fit all PFL and FL coupes and sedans.
Although I believe if ur running ARH LTH...the front lower bar may have to be modified a bit to allow for clearance at the collectors. Nothing a good mech. Shop can't handle.

You guys are going to love them. Huge difference in body flex. Wait until you see the thin junk OE bars that come out in front, you'll be shocked.
Just as an FYI, one of the 6 bar sets (F strut bar, R strut bar, F lower bar 4pt 2pc, F lower bar 4pt 1pc, middle lower bar, middle upper bar), you don't need the middle upper bar. It replaces a super beefy OE bar that spans across the car and attaches in 4 points, so there's no real point. It's the middle lower one for the driveshaft tunnel that makes the most difference because there's nothing there now.
What WOULD be good, is if you can hunt down the rear lower control braces (2pc) which were discontinued. I've been on the lookout, but if your guy can get them they would be very worthwhile to sub in that set for the unneeded middle bar IMO.

Bummer man, thanks for checking. Will let you know if I track down a few sets.
This is what they look like BTW if you happen to come across them. I've checked with a few vendors that have them listed as "in stock", and they don't have them either.

I just put the rear one in my car and love how much the body roll has gone away. Great experience with the vendor too. Apparently on accident they sent me the bar for a Nissan Sentra and before it even got to me they asked me to verify the part number once it arrived. After seeing it was the wrong one they sent the correct bar right away and I had it within a week!

Found the rear control arm bars thru another company in china that I was thinking about ordering bars from a while back. Item number #7
I could see about ordering a few sets of just the rear bars to complete the set up.
Jim, if your into this I'll keep you posted if I get a quote back for just the rear bars.

JD - what is the company and the URL where you found the set in the pic please? Would be interested in getting the whole set myself. Thanks!
Cheers,

Aluminum with green powder coat? The Ultra bars are all steel and very heavy-duty. I'd proceed with caution there. The front strut bar is hinged (i.e. useless). They look pretty flimsy too, even the missing rear lower link bars. Good detective work tracking them down JD but I'm a little suspect.

100% agree. That's why I really didn't go thru with ordering this set. All these guys did was copy the ultra racing bars and made them out of Aluminum and that front strut bar is all over the the internet with numerous versions.
Although IMHO the rears in aluminum wouldn't be the worst thing as long as the welds are solid. There is quite a bit stiffening back there especially if you went with the after market rear sway bar paired with the ROKT racing end links

Ahhh - I completely missed the "aluminum" part. Thank you gentlemen... but yeah, aluminum probably won't do much good for structural rigidity here.
I already have a version of that strut brace (Kriston had a bunch for sale) and it certainly wasn't bad to begin with, but I happen to know someone who is an aluminum welder at one of the two nuclear reactor power stations in Ontario... no more bolts to flex on mine.

Funny..I reached out to them to cuz I'm a cheap *** and looked for a discount...they offered one and said these are the parts they can offer:
Mercedes Benz C-63 (W204) 2008 6.2cc
1) UR-LA4-1822 - FRONT LOWER BAR 4-POINTS @ $200.00/pc
2) UR-LAS4-1823P - FRONT LOWER BAR 4-POINTS (in-pair/2-pieces) @ 115.0/pair
3) UR-ML2-1824 - MIDDLE LOWER BAR 2-POINTS @ $65.0/pc
4) UR-TW2-1820 - FRONT STRUT BAR 2-POINTS @ $140.0/pc
5) UR-ML4-1825 - MIDDLE LOWER BAR 4-POINTS @ $105.0/pc
6) UR-RE2-1821 - REAR STRUT BAR 2-POINTS @ $135.0/pc
So which part are you referring to since they have 2 "middle lower bars" listed?
So confusing....argh. Thanks for ur help blkrkt

Lol that's funny. I'll have to double check the prices but I'm pretty sure that is exactly what I got quoted.....

You guys are getting a great deal compared to eBay prices. I'm surprised more people aren't interested. In terms of bang-for-your-buck in handling, these can't be beat.
