Check this out!!
Well......I compleatly snapped my driveshaft in half last night at the dragstrip!! Not sure if anyone has done this yet but it's possible. Did about 6 passes. The 7th never even made it off the line. Not sure if this was not the way to launch. First time with this car at the strip. Iv only gone 3 total times. Was brake torqueing to about 1500 to 2k then floored it on the 3rd light. Traction fully off. Mct trans. I did make the mistake of just flooring it off idle. Do not do that it revs to 4 k and basically drops the clutch too violent for sure only made that mistake once. When it failed I was launching like I stated above. Iv never heard of this happening to anyone on here.

That's awesome. Better mount that on your wall.

Looks like Intake Spacers, Boostane and Unicorn Tune to me. Wicked.

I've seen driveshafts begin to fail, but never tearing completely like that. Crazy stuff!

I remember a few years back someone with a coupe had the same happen. I believe he had DRs also. Basically the same story as you. He was under warranty though and got a new one free.

Definitely a keeper.
I have a lovely piston in my work area that I punched a hole through the top of. Great conversation starter.
I did a drive shaft many years ago at 160kph (100 mph) and the real problem was the floor pan damage that resulted - hope yours is limited.

Agreed. That's a keeper. I have three pistons (from two separate cars) that were destroyed sitting in my office. People like to ask about them.

no went oe because it only cost 100 bucks deductible from my aftermarket warranty. Plus the carbon ones take a few weeks. Looking at the one I broke I was unaware our driveshafts where hollow. And the thickness of the metal seems thin. O well hopefully never happens again. Seems like a lot of guys on here have more power then me with no issues so fingers crossed.
