EUROCHARGED V7 Beta tune

So I just got my car back from Eurocharged with the V7 beta tune.
In a word --ITS AWESOME.

Test Vehicle--2011 C63 with Eurocharged V5, Secondary cat and resonator delete.

Before dyno 447rwhp

AFTER V7 457rwhp 416Tq

Net 10rwhp on a strong car.

Peak numbers aside, car feels more aggressive and faster. Shifts are crisper and more aggressive. I wasnt expecting much as my car was decent as is....but I was very impressed by the change in demeanor. Its worth every cent paid. As far as upgrades go; its very inexpensive for 10rwhp. I give it 2 thumbs up. It makes the car more enjoyable to drive.

Disclosure---I am NOT employed or in any way involved by Eurocharged. I paid for my upgrade.

My bad....I guess people shouldn't share their personal experiences. Cause more information is bad.

Thanks for posting your impression.
If it was Beta, why did you pay?
EC source reports V7 is not yet ready for official release, but will be very soon.

haha, it's good to get more data and impressions on the V7. But agree, let's encourage posting in an already existing EC V7 thread to avoid clogging up this forum.

Their upgrade fee is what, $125 now? So I'd agree, worth it for 10 wheel. But it also seems it's a mixed bag -- I believe Kriston netted nothing from V7 coming from V6 while OP netted 10 wheel.

If I was a EC customer I'd for sure upgrade, because it's $125 so what the hell, but I certainly wouldn't know what to expect power wise.

I asked nice if I could get the V7 tune. Once Randy said YES -I didnt haggle about the bill or ask too many questions. As far as collating posts.... Headbolts anyone?

listen guys--I posted because I thought someone might value the information. I just got home from a very enjoyable drive. I was very impressed. I didnt search the MBWORLD to see who's original post I could post my unique experience under.

Anyhow....from a guy who doesn't post often, loves fast cars and has spent $1000's on mods....I love this tune---its leagues better than V5. In my humble opinion, Its worth the upgrade. Definitely noticeable.

My confusion lies in whether the V7 Tune you received is Official Release, or Beta.
If Beta, you should not have had to pay, as it would mean it is still in testing and subject to optimization.

If it is Official Release, this is good news for everyone, although I don't believe EC has announced official release of V7. What did Randy state you received?

Glad to hear V7 is making some good power. 447whp on V5 though? That's a strong car...

OP don't worry about creating a new thread. I love new threads.

We pay a little more up here in Canada. But to be honest, I would definitely do the upgrade even if gave zero wheel HP. The difference in driveability was very noticeable coming from V5. The car felt "lazy" before, except when on full throttle. Now in sport, its really aggressive. If it felt "lazy" before, I would describe it now as "angry".

I was trapping 97-98mph in the 1/8th before. Im sure Ill be 99 or 100mph now with much more fun driveability. I cant speak to V6 to V7. But my V5 to V7 was very nice upgrade.

TBH....Im not sure what the status is. I read on here that some guys were getting it. So I emailed Randy and asked if I could drop the car off for V7. He said "Yes and it will cost X". I dropped the car right off. I didnt ask too many questions and risk him saying No. All I car say is that it seems well sorted out. The AFRs on the dyno look good. Ill post it tomorrow.

98mph in the 1/8th should be around a 126mph trap in the 1/4. And you're doing that on a 447whp n/a car? Sorry, that doesn't add up at all unless you removed 5-600lbs. Post a slip.

Here's a FBO+ 476whp car on E85 with over 500lbs out of it trapping 98mph in the 1/8th and 132mph in the 1/4.

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post7217666

Sorry, a guy with just straight pipes and a tune is not running 98mph in the 1/8th unless it's downhill.

You should tell Fabian that he's doing it all wrong. All he needed to do was EC V7 and secondary cat delete and he'd have been just as fast.

These posts are a total waste of time.

Sorry, I didnt keep the slips. I kept the times on my phones. I just checked. 2 runs. One was 96.4mph, the other 97.1mph. I let off after the 1/8th on both runs as the car was getting squirrly(I need new front tires). Im planning on going in a 2 weeks with new tires and V7. Ill keep and post those slips. Youre probably right though--99-100mph with just 10 more wheel is overly optimistic.

96.6-97.1mph 447rwhp 121-122mph is about about average though--no?

V7 beta has been a beast on my car. The butt dyno tells me its pretty fast because the tires spin at times when I wouldn't previously lose traction. Thanks to Jerry at EC!!

95.5-96.5mph in the 1/8th generally translates to 122mph in the 1/4 on a full-weight car. You can see the full list of times and slips here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...tml?styleid=24

Once you're in the 97's, you're up in the 123-125mph range (FBO full-weight C63s generally pick up ~26-28mph on the back half). Fabien has a superlight car with E85 and head work to help it breathe up top, so he picked up a lot more on the back half with his 132mph trap.

And those are FBO+ cars - headers, tune, intake, exhaust, weight savings, etc

I have a hard time believing that a car with only tune (not even the 'unicorn' one) and secondary cat delete is trapping 97mph in the 1/8th, which is 2mph faster than most headers cars. Especially without slips.

What was the torque gain at the wheels. Second dyno has torque first doesn't?

Thanks for posting your results I recently had a thread where I did stock vs v6 vs v7. followed up by a night at the track. On v7 I made 443 whp and 403 wtq an increase of 53 wph and 47wtq from stock with resonator delete and row boxes. If you do a search you should find it to compare.

Disclaimer: Except the time in your signature line doesn't actually exist, so a comparison is irrelevant. The time and trap in your signature line is only an approximation of what you might have run in ideal conditions at sea level. Most people don't trot around DA-adjusted figures, FYI. (hence why your time is missing from "The List")

Several posts about what exactly? 0.4mph in the 1/8th mile? This wasnt a drag racing post. It was a post about subjectively improved driveabiity in addition to empirically measured 10rwhp gain.

I wasn't making it about drag racing. You were the one that decided to post an unsupported 1/8th mile trap that didn't make any sense.
