Why? Did you go with straight pipes instead?

I'm trying it with straight pipes and 300 cell cats.it sounded good but Nascar for me.

Maybe with the cats it would of been better but I'll let the next guy try it out.

What's your definition of Nascar?

I have weistec headers, mid pipes and x pipe waiting to be installed. But currently I have 2nd cats and resonator deleted with an H pipe where the resonator was and the sound is loud, deep and throaty with no raspyness.

I'm wondering what it will sound like both H and x pipe on place. Only one way to find out I suppose

The x pipe will change the sound from deep to a more higher pitched tone with a little rasp to it.

I would wait a few before installing both because I lost a **** load of mid range running both an xpipe and an h-pipe.

I will let you know how it runs when I get it out.i would just run the h pipe but you need to try them out to see what you like.

Every person that heard my car said wow it sounds like a Nascar lol

Interesting. Unfortunately I think I have to install the x pipe first since it bolts up to where the resonator was. My buddy and I are doing the I install so if we need to pull the x pipe and weld up straights because it sounds like ****, then it has to go back to the muffler shop after.

But raspy and high pitched is certainly not what I want. Thanks for the heads up.

Do you have any vids or sound clips?

I do have one but it doesn't do it justice.its 10x louder in person lol.

On a side note can we use those O2 extension cables on eBay made for Honda's or ls1s or do we need a specific wire harness.

Car is almost done! Hopefully this is the final change up.

Fi headers > 300 cell cats > straight pipes > stock h-pipe/resonators > stock mufflers

The only thing down the road I'll try is Remus exhaust

I will when I get the car back.

I went with a brand called thunderbolt off eBay because some people said the magna flows wear out and don't do much help for smell.

Thanks!

I couldn't really notice any low end difference - I just stay in the low revs more these days. Above 3k is just too loud for these Toronto streets. My gf actually filmed a few vids of me driving below my unit and I can hear the glorious purring from half a kilo away.

I actually drive a lot more tame after the headers! Can you believe that?

Does the MBH X pipe bolt on? or does it require cutting/welding?

Still for sale?

I just stopped by the shop to hear it. I like it alot better without the x pipe in place.

It just sounds louder with almost stock tone.best way to describe it is like a big Harley Davidson bike revving.it has that tight piston compression snap sound and with the x it was more g37 Nascar pitch.

The smell is about 80% better and night and day vs no cats.
