South Florida Tuner
Does anyone know of or have any experience with tuners in Miami/South Florida for our C63's? Besides Renntech, who does great tuning, ecu, row box install etc?
Thank you for your feedback in advance!
Best,
Don

I can do any of the mechanical work for you, I'm a benz tech in the North Miami area. I have HPT but haven't tuned an M156 yet so I won't volunteer myself just yet. One of the best guys I know locally is Marco at Billet Design, he's tuned a ton of high end cars and they always make good power. Where in south FL are you?

I might give the row box a go my self then! haha. As far as a tune goes, my only experience with ecu tuning is with my previous car (N55 BMW motor). With that, there were 2 options:
1) ECU flashing
2) Piggyback tuning
Is that the same case with the M156? Are there some tuners flashing and some using a piggyback? Also, flashing was considered superior over piggyback with the N55... Is it the same with our car?

Thanks skratch77,
I was looking at Renntech, but they seemed pricey when I compared it to weistec and others.
Weistec Power Package 1 (tune and intake): $1600
Renntech Power Package 1 (tune and intake): $4800
pretty big difference for 2 top tuners.
Also, their long tube headers are $8k

A tune is a tune, with renntech you are overpaying for the brand. When you have a reputable company do it usually there is very minor, if any performance difference. I would recommend Weistec and Kleemann, both have pretty good customer service.

I'm visiting Orlando at the moment, are there any shops where I can pick up AMG parts? I'm looking for some new AMG exhaust tips for my Dad's W211 E55K, maybe even some CF parts for my C204 FL 63. Long shot I suppose...
On a sort of related note, are there any motorsports events running this weekend I that could check out, or any good RWYB's? I won't be running mine sadly, as it's at home 4000miles away .

Eurocharge Orlando may have some parts. I'd give them a call.
I don't know of any events this weekend other than the Festival of Speed at the Ritz Carlton Orlando on 12/2.

Sorry for digging up a dead post, but trying to find some way to get in touch with Lenny Wu, the tuner. I hear he is still in SFL, but have not had any luck getting in touch. Hoping someone on the site might have a way to get hold of him.
