For Sale: 2014 C63 Black Series Conversion
Folks,
many of you may have seen the original conversion of this car as well as the many upgrades I did to it on this forum. Many articles in the FAQ section are from me/this car. Now I will move to Germany and have to sell this car with a heavy heart. Hopefully I can find a home for it here, where it would be appreciated.
2014 Mercedes C63 AMG ‘Black Series’
This is a 2014 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG 507 Edition, professionally upgraded with original Mercedes parts and high quality after-market parts to become a ‘Black Series Edition’. The total sum of upgrades adds up to 60,000$. It includes 3 full sets of wheels (street, track, winter). This is my daily driver, so mileage will increase over time.

Full professional Black Series body conversion using Mercedes OEM parts (fenders, bumpers, rocker panels, quarter panels)
MHP Long Tube headers, cat delete, x-pipe and Akrapovic Titanium exhaust
Tuned to approx. 600 crank hp (from stock 507), engine untouched besides headers/exhaust and tune
Mercedes oil cooling upgrade (44O)
Differential cooling upgrade with finned heatsink
KW Clubsport Suspension; rear camber adjustable with K-MAC adjustable bushings
RacingBrake big brake kit (390 front/360 rear rotor diameter, track grade 2-piece rotors with replaceable annulus)
Wheel stud conversion
ADV1 street/summer wheels 19” with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (255/35 front, 295/30 rear)

Bhamg, thank you for the kind words! I really hate to let this car go, it is one of a kind! However, the German TUV inspectors would get a heart attack, if they saw all the mods on this car.......

Going to be kicking myself for years to come for not being ready for this sale☹️ Absolutely love the car and IMO is my favorite built W204 I have seen to date. Well if anyone you know is looking for a late 13 Designo red/black P31 040 sedan let me know so I can sell for this track weapon. After the cooling upgrade did you ever see any real high oil or tranny temps during track events? Haven't tracked mine for that reason and after a track season in my Abarth I am itching to finally put the 63 on track.

Also curious, how is the rear fender vent added to the standard C63 body? I take it the BS has entirely different sheet metal on the rear end and the entire quarter panel is replaced?

Damn. Best most thorough BS conversion there been, hands down. Sorry to see you go buddy, but some lucky sob is going to get a hell of a track car. Not only bulletproof but much improved over BS-spec.

A couple of answers to questions asked:
1. You can buy any Mercedes part through dealerships. All you need is the exact part number. If the part is for sale, you can buy it. If a dealership is difficult, go to another or buy online.
2. The body conversion is a huge job. They told me it was going to be 4-6 weeks and it ended up taking 4 months. Body shops are artists, not efficient project managers. The rear quarter panels have to be replaced up to above the rear side windows, and also the wheel liner. The conversion was done at a specialized shop in Chicago and the invoice was 31,500$ (including new wheels to fill out the fenders). It is a way better idea to buy one that is already done - had I known what cost end effort this entailed, I may not have done it.
3. When you drive the car hard on a track, on a hot day, oil temp can still reach up to 260 degrees (I think the highest I saw was 258 or 259). The upgrade is sized correctly and is bulletproof also in daily driving. The fan that is on the wheel arch cooler of the stock 507 is definitely not needed after the upgrade, even in long stop and go traffic.
4. All that said, my car is a daily driver that has seen occasional track days. 2 years ago I bought a dedicated track car that I am racing in Endurance races and have not tracked the C63 since. It just handles amazingly, is set up stiff with KW Clubsport suspension and amazing brakes. It is running street brake pads and street suspension alignment specs.

It isn't just the headers. In Germany the TUV wants to see the vehicle specific certifications of everything that was changed on the car. Problems would be - different body panels, window tint, suspension, wheels, brakes, exhaust - everything.

FYI real black series also have pano roof, and without having distronic you don't have "all factory options" not trying to thread crap, but it is a little misleading(unless you didn't know, which since most incorrect "info" just continuously gets regurgitated on the forum until it becomes "fact", is very possible)

A great car with the right mods done right. If I had a reasonable chance of registering this in Canada without going through a similar bureaucratic nightmare here, I'd seriously consider it. GLWS and all the best overseas.

Wobble - not to nitpick, but I'm afraid ec_nova is right about the panoramic roof. I've driven three BS cars and all of them had the pano roof. The paragraph in red on page 2 of the guide states this as well. You are correct about the Distronic which wasn't available on the BS (actually, I don't think it was available on any W204 C63) because the radar "dish" blocks too much air that is needed for cooling.

I work on these cars for a living and have personally REMOVED the pano roof from 2 black series c63's for noise concerns. And your car is NOT a black series, so distronic IS an option on your car. That's all I was saying. I am aware distronic was not available on the black series but it was available on the standard c63 coupe and sedan... I have it.

Yep, I stand corrected, I just looked at the pictures in the brochure, but not the text. My bad. In NA the C63 BS had the pano roof.
