EflexFuel Kit Installed

Only one chain of gas stations here (called Sphinx but really Shell) have E85. The stickers on they pump say no less than 85% but most only have 40% per the app. I can get it at the closest station and get 40%, then no much longer later (lol) get it again at the same station (different pump) and get 60%. It's hard to imagine they have 2 tanks though.

I had the same issue but only on the driver's side (U.S.). I ended up going in and cutting the zip ties and pushing the wires more flat beside the fuel rail. It help a bit but that one side of the air box still doesn't click all the way on the pins.
Should of jumped on the group buy. Price was 1250 shipped. And if you already had a eurocharged tune prior to buying the kit they will give you a new tune
But on a different note. How is everyone mouting the harness? Are you laying it on top of the oem harrness and using zip ties to secure it? When I did that I wasnt able to put the insulation pads in place and have the airboxes sit correctly. I managed to get the harness underneath the fuel rail and ziptied to the fuel rail and the pads sit correct but some connections are touching the intake manifold. Im sure those insulation pads absorb a fair amount of heat to prevent heat transfer to the airboxs but are they reall necessary?

I dont like my harness sitting directly on the fuel or touching the intake manifold even though eurocharged said it was fine and not hot enough to damage the wires. All they said was to avoid sharp bends in the wire before it enters the plug. Nevertheless, I think Im going to remove the insulation pad and put the flex harness back on top of the oem harness

The only difference between the AFD kit and ours is that their connectors are pre pinned. Ours are not pre pinned because depending on your injector needs you may need a different connector.
Our kit is also half the price of their kit.

Discovered that my misfires were the result of a few bent pins on the control unit. I probably wasn't careful enough when plugging in the system for the first time. Any how I re-did all the pin connectors just to be safe ( I have extra in case anyone needs some). The wiring orientation shown in my picture is correct. You can follow that if your too lazy to use a multi-meter. Started the car up with no issues. I first filled up with about 30% ethanol to monitor the duty cycle, ect. Did some pulls on the highway and noticed a small difference. I then went back to the pump and filled up with as much as I could get. The app showed 67% ethanol. I then did some more pulls on the highway and WOW! I don't know how much I gained, but it was definitely noticeable. I monitored the duty cycle and the highest percentage I saw was 84%. Under WOT my lamda values were around .82 (very good) and the air fuel ratio was around 9.5. I would definitely recommend this kit, especially since I only paid $340 for it. In the next few weeks I will be doing some more data logging to verify the system is ideal across all driving conditions. My wiring is not the cleanest, but I did this for quick removal ( warranty work).

For anyone wanting to know my mods that put me around 84% duty cycle with stock injectors they are as follows : ROW Boxes, Drop in Filters, V6 tune, 2ndary cat delete, x pipe ( resonater delete), eflex kit(obviously), on 67% spinx ethanol and 93 octane spinx gas.

Dunno how much help I was but your more than welcome! Learned something new about the app today, which you may already know, but when your in the stats screen, the row of numbers at the top are your injectors and the app tells you when each one is firing by lighting them up in blue. If there is a problem it'll show on the injector number. Didn't realize that before.

So we have about the same mods except for primary cat delete. Amazing that one difference causes a 10% increase in duty cycle. Have you ever dyno'd the car?

I have not. Is the consensus that the cats are the most restrictive when it comes to stock manifolds? Does your tune take this into account? I would assume so else you be have a CEL.

Yeah v7 turns off the cel. Given the sound diff between having primaries and not, I'd say they are pretty restrictive. With plm headers (forgot about those when talking about the duty cycle) and four cat delete I picked up 36 rw. Not sure how it breaks down though.

How does the fuel line connections work with this kit vs the AFD kit? Their kit looks like you just swap out the oe line for their line. Do you have to cut up the oe line for this one? Curious thanks.

Again, respectfully, please describe in detail what we get for $599 from VRP that we do not get for $337 from the developer directly? What are we getting for the extra $262? I really want to know if that’s really your profit margin per kit. If not, please explain the value add.

Fair question no? I mean, I have absolutely nothing against VRP. In fact, was rooting for a CF drive shaft gb awhile back. But, with all the chatter about E85 kit prices I figured someone had to ask and hold our vendors’ feet to the fire...

Wether you buy from us or Eflex this kit is just as good as the AFD kit, We have had great success with it.
With Eflex's recent price change it does look like a price adjustment is due however, and that will be reflected today. One thing to note as well is Eflex does not "Stock" any of their kits, When you order they make the kit on the spot, VS we have to order 10-12 pre-built kits in order to service our customers, we also pay shipping, and pay the import fees when we order, This is a large cost to stock these products which accounted for part of our pricing as well. These were previously a very slow moving product, but are rapidly picking up in popularity, We have no problem taking the price back down, while still providing the benefits of a US based company. we offer the best pricing on most AMG performance parts and will continue to do so, if you see a pricing issue, let us know and we will do the best we can to make an adjustment.
Edit: Our price has been updated to $417.98 during the summer sale

Kudos to your efforts. Please also note that you only pay the 24% VAT tax they have integrated into that price if you live in Europe. Elsewhere in fine print they take off the VAT tax we wouldn’t pay and after conversion , you get the amount I quoted.

For those that daily drive the car, has anyone run through a full tank of e85 (until the gas light pops) with a majority of the miles being highway/cruising AND not beating on the car?
I wanted to see how many miles I could get before the light came on while doing a 85% highway driving (55-80mph) and 15% city. Got 210 miles. Thought it would be better then that

Yea I figured. Numbers seem right since a typical tank of 93 gets me about 260ish before the light comes on

Recently purchased this kit but the terminals dont seem to fit into the injector plugs supplied anybody have any tips to install? Feel like they may be the wrong pins for the plug adaptors?
