EflexFuel Kit Installed

Post up a pic. I found that the pins only like to go in one way as they are flat, not round. Once you find out which way to insert the pin, repeat it for all of them. If you have to force them in they aren't oriented correctly. They should pop in smoothly. Lots of light and good magnifying glasses made the job easier for me.

Can you possibly take a pic like your second one but with a pin in the picture as well? The pins in the first picture look larger than they should, but I can't tell if it's just the perspective. Where did you remove the purple clip from? I don't ever remember seeing that piece.

That's almost exactly what I told them. Even sent them pics of the correct pin orientation. They said it was no problem to do, then they didn't do it! Stupid.

See the purple insert (thats what usually locks the pins in place) but I think i got the incorrect harness as the pins/male blades are too big for the plug adapter. Hopefully VRP can chime in. I tried calling them but keep getting there voicemail.

From the pic it certainly looks like they've got the wrong size pin for the adapter. Wish I could take a picture of one of mine for comparison but they were small enough that you could hardly tell if they were flat or round.

I tried installing mine with 550cc injectors, which required cutting and soldering. I could not get the car to run without multiple misfires. After many, many hours I ended up removing the harness and hard wiring my OEM one back in. The car runs great with the 550cc injectors.
I'm not sure if the box is faulty, or my wiring was bad. I couldn't connect to the box through the app, it would pair, but never connect to it. This leads me to believe the box is faulty.

Did you check the pins in the box like the poster above? Also, if you hardwired it, how did you handle the one lead with the double red wire? That second wire is how the box gets full power so it may be that the box isn't getting the voltage it needs which would lead to misfires and no connection. Just a guess there....

Listen, if you bought from VRP, something looks wrong. Quit effing with it and have VRP express out a new kit to you and send this obviously wrong one back. PM "Victoryroadperformance". They were just active in this thread a week or so ago!

injector pins
Haven't fully kept up with the thread but if it helps, here's a pic of mine that I bought direct a couple of months back (not yet installed) - pins look round and adapter is straight.

Doubt this affects many (if any) BUT, if you run e85, cats and any zddp additive or extended-life/diesel oil, the following is worth a read...

JonM try rechecking the polarity on the injector connectors. Do you have access to read the fault codes? that will help in diagnosing the issue. I had #2 cylinder wires reversed and it gave me a open signal on #2 but also multiple misfires on first start up attempt. Everybody else, thanks for your help/input I have hardwired the eflexfuel harness, the reason why they sent me this harness is because I purchased the 660cc injectors along with the kit so that's why I have the EV1 type connectors on the other end. car runs great but I now have an issue with connecting to the app. I have email eflexfuel and they are working with me on getting this issue resolved.

I tested every connection and labeled the 12v source on the OEM side - no chance of confusing the wires. All positive wires were matched with the OEM positive wires. Perhaps the harness has issues, but I sent the control box back to see if that fixes the issue.

I have the eflexfuel kit and have been getting knock retard from a couple cylinders. Soon as I move the controller box around or move wires from it, it’ll clear up. New harness is on the way.

I had misfire issues when i installed my kit. Make sure the harness isnt kinked... and try flipping the connectors to see if the misfire follows. I ended up having a bad harness and having to get a replacement.

It’s the pins at the connectors, some kits are using a very thin pins vs others. 2 out of 3 of my kits had tiny skinny pins vs 1 of them had a slightly larger thicker pin connectors that solved all my random small minor misfiring.
if you have a very bad misfire and the car barely wants to run start at the main connector and look and see if the orange cap is seated, I had a kit where it was forced in and a wire was never making contact with the box to begin with.
Also I cut the heat shrink off on my new kit so I didn’t have to fight it.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the help! I figured out the issue. I was dumb and didn't check the wires for which was power because I assumed the obvious that red must be power. Wrong! My oem power is a black wire so I had 4 cylinder's injector power and ground wire mixed up. Everything is running smooth and just filled up today with full E85 and can already tell a difference as well as temp difference. Now I just need to get that custom tune from Jerry😉. This was definitely worth the price compared to the other kits. Cheers!
