Secondary CAT delete

Does anyone know what Diameter the exhaust is at secondary cats? Thinking bout removing secondary cat's and replacing w/ something along the lines of SLP Loudmouth's is this advisable, or is it better to just go w/ a straight pipe?

Thanks

I'd hardly call it "stupid loud"

There is a C63 owner here where I live with straight pipes and THAT is stupid loud!

It's more more bark, more bite, but definitely livable as a daily driver!

I think he's talking about being stupid loud with all cats removed, not just secondaries. And he's right, it's obnoxious.

Haha,

I've heard that removing resonators really changes tone/sound of exhaust... I'd love a little more volume, bark and bite -- but don't want rasp or overall tone and tenor of exhaust to change.... and long-tubes etc. are not in budget at this time.

I saw the mid pipes you had for sale, do those work w/ stock headers? They remove both primary and secondary cat's, but keep the resonators correct?

I have my secondary cats deleted for straight pipes. It’s a louder version of the AMG sound and to me, it’s perfect. We can meet up at a local cars and coffee if you want to hear it in person.

This is the wrong forum for you being the W204 C63 forum.

Try here if you have a W205 C63/S:

I would change the cat with sport cats, do you have pictures of the compete stock exhaust and the bottom of the car? So from what i have seen it is necessary to put long tube headers, this way you are near the secondary cats. Correct? And in case i can change the secondary cat. Does the car smell bad with only the secondary cat?

It isn't necessary to do long tubes, the primary cat's unbolt from the stock manifolds, so a few companies sell pipes that replace primaries and secondaries with a bolt in pipe.

Armytrix has the front pipe, factory headers to resonator bolt in with cats or with fake cats (right side on this page)

Nice info, in case i directly use this cattedra armytrix, in one step i remove two set of cats and install a new cat.
otherwise o do need to put long tube headers remove the secondary cat and put there other cat, is this correct? Is it simply to remove the cat? Is there any guide? And in case i would install the long tube?

You can remove just the secondary cat's and replace with piping, a custom shop can do it (requires on pipe cut and 3 joints be unbolted or there is a kit sold I have seen on here called a Power Pipe that is a bolt in replacement for just the secondary cat.

2.5” pipe where the secondary cats are just use straight pipe , remove the resonators and have your shop make you a custom h pipe w 2.5” tubing where the resonator was and put in a 1.5” Connecting pipe in the middle of the H if your under the car you want the joint to be more towards the motor instead of the middle. People don’t realize how expensive and fine tuned the c63 exhaust already is this setup keeps the stock tone but 30-40% more louder keep the original tone it’s what makes this thing unique you do you tho (;

Hello i have first remived my secondary cats with no major effects apart from little smell at start. Sound was a bit louder but ok. I wanted it more loud so i removed my primary cats. Now smell is always present but its ok you dont smell anything while driving. Sound is higher on highways However a strange noise appears on low rpm that sound like a rasp or high end pitch that is really annoying. Did anyone experience it? And what are the possible solutions to remove this weird sound

This is the C63 forum and your question might get a more informed response in the C32 forum. Try posting your question there.
