Radiator fan on max, temperature ok. Why?
I got my car back today after it being three weeks at a shop for some paint work (no accident). When I drove home the car was fine. I wanted to take the car out five hours after getting home, after I turned on the car, the radiator fan was on max even though all temperatures were cool/normal. Any idea why this may be?

Got the following fault codes on the car
2070 - outside temperature sensor has a short circuit to ground
2237 - coolant temperature sensor 1 has a malfunction
The issue stopped, the shop guys just said it was a loose sensor and it's now fixed. Anyone know where these sensors are so I can check?

it was the coolant temp sensor being unplugged or not seated fully....I posted my same issue with it after I did headboltsheadbolts....when it gets no temp signal it defaults to hi speed fan to ensure adequate cooling

It is underneath the thermostat housing in the dead center of the front of the engine...the temp guage will still work fine, it is the temp sensor for the fan signal sense.....remove the front manifold beauty cover and you can get to it...now it IS hidden and not easy to see but you CAN get your hand in to it

gonna hijack this thread. My radiator fan WON'T turn on at all unless its commanded to by the laptop MB of Tucson has plugged into it, they've had my car 3 weeks now and can't find the issue. Replaced ECU, fan, all the sensors and reprogrammed the car.. help please, I'd love to tell MB how to fix my car.
