Man just opened up the directions and that German to English translation is ROUGH! So it appears we are to reuse the OE mount but that the rivet? must be drilled out so the mount can be opened up? Hmmmmm...that's not sounding as easy as I had initially thought. Also references "posterior" and "anterior" bar end bore holes for adjustment. So posterior must be the "inner" or rearward holes. That's my assumption. Maybe BLKROKT can help clear some of this up...

Anterior means closer to the front and is referencing the holes closest to the cross bar. That position will yield a stiffer mounting position. I would tend to try the rear (posterior) position first. A thicker rear bar will increase oversteer and the tighter mounting position for the end link, by shortening the torque arm will increase oversteer even more.

This wasn’t covered on the Pelican site for the generic 204 but am I correct that the metal trapezoidal plate under the plastic needs to be dropped to remove front bar? It’s held in with 6 hex bolts I think.

.
Thread with more feedback from those who have installed the Front & Rear bars (on a W204 non-AMG, but still applicable), and addresses the 2 mounting positions on the Front bar, and the OEM mounts for this Front bar:

Help. I’m stuck. Getting that plate off was a pita and it supports the steering rack. With it supported I was able to get the bar out but my mounts don’t look like anything described. How the heck do these come off? Do I need to use a cutting whee to cut the tabs?? I’m stuck and this took way longer than I had counted on as there’s little room to get a wrench on the top nut.

Ok so after tossing and turning all night stressed about the stupid $150 bar and whether I'd ever figure it out (was about to have my bro cut and weld the mounts back together), I kept thinking about the mention of needing to drill hollow rivets out, but when looking, I never saw any hollow rivets. But the ah-ha moment came after I spent more time studying it this morning and cleaned up the brackets. You see, each of the two holes on the bracket is itself the hollow rivet. After cleaning the one side, I was able to actually see what appeared to be the flange of the end of the rivet expanded. So, I set out to drill it and see if that would open it up and voila! A little prying and it came apart. So, all is not lost, though my Eibach bar doesn't have a provision for mounting the headlight leveler assembly, but that might get solved with zipties...

Hey it occurred to me that no one ever seems to have posted up the WIS for the rear bar r&r. Could someone with WIS-magic post any relevant info for the rear sway/stabilizer bar removal etc.? Pelican indicates the rear bar can be snaked out but the other guys over in W204 state this isn't possible etc. Anyway, my rear bar arrives so just need to know.
