Looked around, this is what it looked like https://cs.copart.com/v1/AUTH_svc.pd...f2f973d51b.JPG
Copart sold it for $11,000 when it looked like that and it had 50k miles on it then - estimate to fix was 26k and value was 33k not crashed at that time.
If you scroll down on this page there are about 10 pics of it https://www.autobidmaster.com/en/car..._SAN_DIEGO_CA/

C63 AMG
I personally wouldn't touch it...
Don't care what the price is. I think if you are getting into the game for a low price you will end up spending more than you are comfortable with on maintenance. I'm just assuming and don't mean to be *** but you are asking about a rebuilt title...
If you are on a tight budget but want a C63 I would go higher mileage, good service history, limited owners and mods. Just my worthless 2c.

I will throw in 2c to double. HAYLE NAH. The motor is the lifeblood of this car. Don’t let desperation to get the car cloud your judgement. This is a terrible deal.

Buying a wrecked and junked MB and asking if it's a good idea to buy. Just think it through.

I think it’s all perspective. If it’s something stupid cheap like $1000 and you are goonzquad, go for it. Even for that money you could part the car out and make money. If you don’t know how to rebuild cars and want to make it a nice street car, probably keep looking. I know plenty of track cars that were salvage title cars in previous lives.

I wouldn't mind buying it from copart and fixing it myself, but that's different than buying one that's been fixed by someone else / usually don't know prior condition.

Ya my guess is most of this stuff is fixed on the cheap and resold for a profit, so would be concerned how well it was fixed.

I'd never buy a salvage/rebuilt title anything, especially a front end collision.
Just looking at the photo of the car when it was damaged has me thinking about the random coolant/oil/trans/power steering/everything fluid leaks from the front end, alignment/suspension issues, sliced electrical wires, and so on.
It isn't a good deal unless you're a masochist and enjoy headache after headache for the entire time you own the car.

Actually if one is looking to rebuild (different situation, I know), the front is the best damage one can handle. Side, roof, etc are actually the worse in most cases. If airbags deployed, then that's a no go either. Of course, you have to use your judgement - if the front end damage has gone far enough to touch the engine/etc, then that's also a no go. But fixing the bumper and slapping a new intake, hood even, bumper cover, etc (at varying levels) you can end up building a car even better than before. However, if it's a resale job, you can't always depend on people doing it with better parts, as mentioned earlier.
